This was a fabulous place to stay. It was close to a lot of places where we could shop as well as the mall next next door. The breakfast was lovely as well. Service was amazing. Everyone was so nice to us. The only issue I had was that one of the lifts wasn't working and this posed an inconvenience because I had the baby's push chair and had to wait a while to get the lift. Apart from that, it was a great place.
Really nice hotel. It was nice to have a breakfast that was included. Staff was super friendly and helpful with everything. The only negative is no free parking. I stayed for almost 2 weeks, and having to pay £12 a day was a little rough. Rooms: Very clean and plenty of space. Nearby activities: Hotel is located in a great spot, with several restaurants and pubs in walking distance. Walkability: Mall, cinema, restaurants, pubs, and shops. Food & drinks: Several great restaurants.
Me and my daughters had a wonderful stay. Staff were very welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure we were well catered for, couldn’t thank them enough. Rooms were clean and there was a good selection of breakfast choices which we throughly enjoyed. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be booking back in again in the near future! Rooms: Rooms were clean and fresh and beds were very comfy Nearby activities: Riverside walk, Glasgow green and st Enoch centre/high street shops all within walking distance Safety: Felt very safe, good locks/latch on room doors Walkability: Loads to see and do within walking distance from the hotel Food & drinks: Food and drinks were great, good selection to choose from
A nice hotel ideally situated in the centre of Glasgow. We stayed one night to attend a concert but the prices were extortionate, I presume they were vastly inflated because of the concert nearby. The room was clean and comfortable, staff friendly and the buffet breakfast was good.Rooms: 4/5
Staff were nice and provided good customer service. The room was clean and air conditioned. The breakfast was vile. The only thing that tasted normal was the bacon and toast. Everything else just seemed cheep and nasty. Rooms: Clean Food & drinks: The breakfast wasn't nice at all. Drinks are fine but expensive.
Reception staff very good. Rooms very clean tidy, good housekeeping. Walls quite thin, can hear people in other rooms. Has a bar with fair prices along with sitting area in reception. Near shops.Rooms: 4/5
Just enjoyed a trip to Glasgow for a comedy gig at the OVO Hydro arena with my wife and our friends and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Riverside. Normally I'm a Premier Inn kinda guy but I found the Holiday Inn to be excellent. Modern and very clean. Great friendly service from the staff and thoroughly enjoyed myself here. The rooms were very clean and well presented with twin beds and the amenities you would expect : TV with a good choice of available channels, kettle with 2 mugs, teas and coffees, 2 glasses for water, hair dryer, mini ironing board and iron, air conditioning, free WiFi and hanging / storage for clothes, telephone with direct line to reception and desk area for any work related needs such as laptop paper work with a comfortable chair to sit on as you work. The bathroom with shower was very clean and in good order with hand wash, body wash and shampoo provided. We had no complaints whatsoever in any form and this includes noise from inside and outside the hotel despite one of the local football teams winning the league and their supporters more than happy to shout about it, the noise outside could not be heard inside, even late into the night when we returned from our gig. In terms of comfort, they provided 2 pillows on each bed with 1 firm and 1 soft so you could choose for your preference and I have to admit, I personally had a much better night's sleep than I've ever had in a Premier Inn which is their claim to provide you with a great night's sleep guarantee ! This will make me re-think about booking with Premier Inn in future. Rooms: Nice size room located on the 4th floor. Twin beds and air conditioning. Rooms had a TV with good choice of channels, mini ironing board, iron, hair dryer, kettle with choice of tea, coffee, 2 mugs and 2 glasses and hanging space for clothes. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable with 2 pillows provided for your comfort one firm and one soft Bathroom with shower was also very clean with hand wash, body wash and shampoo provided. Walkability: Located on the waterfront a short walk from the main train stations of Glasgow Queen Street and Glasgow Central, the main shopping areas and close to the OVO Hydro for concerts and other gigs as well as the Armadillo
Room is good for short stay, but bit smelly. Would be better if room freshener has been added to the room to keep the room fresh. Complimentary breakfast can have some meat other than Bacon..Rooms: 4/5
I am a huge fan of Holliday Inns in Canada. We traveled to Scotland for a Wedding and had to overnight in Glasgow. There is going above and beyond and giving above and beyond. The attendant who checked us in on Thursday July 4th was beyond amazing. We arrived after 3 days of traveling from Canada and she got us in our room by 1130 not 3pm. Service like that is rare and I am gutted that I couldn't remember her name to say it here. The room was nice but different then what I was used too. Took us a bit to figure out the lights and such bit still. The check in clerk made such an impression that we changed plans and are staying their again on Sunday pm. For a 1st stay in Scotland at HI, was amazed and highly recommend.
The rooms are too too small and un-polite staff. At the breakfast we were welcomed with very rude and unfriendly staff talking to us in their highest volume. Dirty glasses and cutlery. If you want hot milk, you have to fill a glass with cold milk and walk across the the reception area to find a small microwave to heat your milk.Rooms: 1/5
