Good hotel, nice rooms too. Had a quick stay from Birmingham with family. Had a family room and a triple room, both decent rooms. Rooms and attached toilets were very clean and stocked properly with tissues, soaps, shampoos, and bodywash. The only things that I thought could be improved were the lighting could have been brighte, and there was slight suffocation before opening the windows. However, after the windows were open, it did get better. We had requested a baby cot for our 8 month old, and we were given a very deep crib. There was a foam mat but no mattress, so we didn't really use it as it would have just been a hassle and too hard for the baby. Also, I'm not sure if it just isn't hotel culture, but in my opinion, there should have been water bottles available in the rooms. Besides that the experience was good, sheets were clean, stay was good.
DO NOT BOOK. I’m not one to be picky with hotels. I believe in you get what you pay for, but this place is truly ridiculous. Upon arrival staff were lovely. So accommodating, friendly and approachable. Reception especially have all been so lovely. Now for our room. Broken drawer, shower glass won’t stay open, stains in bath, shower head is not fit for that type of bathroom so water sprays everywhere, making the floor very slippy. The toilet flush handle is loose and sometimes won’t flush. Our shower has now suddenly started not letting out hot water. The tap in the sink is very loose. Now to be honest, I could let all this slide. Until now. I just came back from a day out with my partner to the room door being left UNLOCKED, with the key still in the door. Housekeeping left the key in the door. All our belongings still inside the room left behind an unlocked door for anyone to come in as they please. Like everyone, we have expensive belongings in the room. Which now I worry can we even leave anything in the room if we go out? When I asked for some money back for the room I was told that was not possible and was offered an apology. I was then offered drinks from the restaurant. Do you really think drinks make it all okay after all my personal belongings were up for grabs to anyone? Will not be returning. Safety: Not safe at all. Room was left unclocked with a key in the door by housekeeping.
Nice big and clean room. Cleaning outside rooms started early morning. Staff was not quiet . Could hear people from next room.Tea coffee toiletries available in room. Reception was not very friendly or welcoming. Overall not bad if get on reasonable priceRooms: 4/5
Decor a little dated in the rooms but all spotlessly clean. Staff were amazing, friendly and couldn't do enough to help you when asked. Gary in the Restaurant made my stay! The breakfast was amazing and freshly cooked. Darryl on reception made me feel welcome and was always smiling. I will definitely stay there again, good value for money and made so welcome x

Unfortunately I made a mistake with my hotel booking for the wrong day. I called up the hotel directly after booking via visiting Scotland, within minutes, to see if they could cancel the booking on their end, or to give credit for a later date to use at the hotel after being charged £117 for the reservation. I was told by Liz on reception they have a policy for a reason and they will not be refunding. Having traveled around the world, staying in numerous hotels ranging from 5* to hostels, I can honestly say I have never been spoken to so negatively. Hotels always try to accommodate and find solutions. I asked to speak to a manager when Liz became condescending and refused to understand that as humans we make mistakes, but was told no management would be around and to email her instead with my complaint. If you are looking for exceptional customer service, it’s best to avoid this location. Unhelpful, rude and made no attempt to try to find a solution.
Great family dinner today Easter Sunday. Our wee girl was delighted by the Easter bunny and the treats. We loved our food so reasonably priced and the service was great despite being really busy. 100% recommended.Service: 5/5
Booked in for two nights to attend a family funeral nearby. The room was very dated and the bed sagged in the middle. Brocken tiles in the bathroom. Had evening meal that was fantastic best curry I've ever had in a hotel. Staff where great. That night we where wakened by four or five guys in the next room arguing at the top of they're voices until about 2.30 am ,they left to try and get more drink, two of them returned and kept shouting until about 3am. At breakfast we where totally knackered and had my wife's father's funeral at 10 am. We returned after the funeral and the receptionist couldn't tell us whether our guests next door had left or not, so we packed and left. The hotel didn't even apologise or offer a refund, so not the best customer service I've come across.
I went on a little vacation to get away from where I live, and it was in a great location of the activity that I wanted to do. I could have done with some hotter water in the room, but the room was cosy, and the service was great. Would definitely travel back and use you again.Rooms: 4/5
