My stay here was excellent from start to finish. The room was great, and the hotel is located in a nice, quiet location. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and welcoming, allowing me to stay an hour longer due to my car not starting and needing to get Jaguar out to fix it. Sadly I didn’t get to experience the breakfast due to said issues, but the facilities looked amazing. Would definitely stay again
We never stayed here but had my father's purvey here after his funeral. The staff were lovely, professional, and friendly. The food was amazing and a beautiful setting to mix with family and friends to remember my dad. Would highly recommend the Busby Hotel.Service: 5/5
Wonderful stay here. The staff are very helpful and our server at dinner last night was very nice and good at recommending cocktails. The food was delicious and the gluten free options were fab. Rooms very clean and comfortable - can't fault anything Food & drinks: Gluten free options available
Superb experience from start to finish! We recently stayed in the Busby Hotel while attending a family wedding and were very impressed by both the hotel and, especially, the staff. The main bar / restaurant is very welcoming, with a range of comfortable seating and can easily handle couples and groups without fuss. The menu offers plenty of choice for most tastes and the food was excellent throughout our stay. Our room, which was spotless, was a good size, with adequate storage for our short 2 night stay and boasted a large, very comfortable bed and a wall-mounted smart tv. The en suite shower room was again a good size, and the shower itself had plenty of pressure and hot water. The room was also very quiet, with no noise being heard from the function rooms even when the wedding party was in full swing. The wifi was straightforward to connect to and reception was excellent. What really made the stay exceptional however, was the quality of the staff - from the reception, restaurant and bar staff through to housekeeping, they were a credit to the hotel, being unfailingly polite, friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
As a wedding venue it's not the worst place in the world, except for the ridiculous prices, two wines, a lager and a Guinness £32. Some of the staff were very friendly but a couple of the staff I encountered were downright rude. The rooms were clean and tidy but the worst part was the breakfast. I've eaten better breakfast out of a roadside greasy spoon cafe. The not fresh juice was warm, the square sausages, the eggs were cremated and exceptionally greasy, the potato scones were dry, and the link sausage had an incipid undercooked appearance. All in all a totally disgusting breakfast experience, and the first time I've ever left most of a breakfast after a night out. Three o'clock check in, for a wedding at two is just inconvenient and then out the door the next day by eleven. I could not recommend accommodation and breakfast, their room rates are high and not worth the spend, there is nothing particularly outstanding about the place, on a positive note they seemed to provide a reasonable wedding venue if you can disregard the ridiculous charges for alcohol and soft drinks. Update to my recent review, I wouldn't give them a penny just noted there is an unwarranted £20 taken from my account and they are not as good as their word. Shocking, I strongly wouldn't recommend it. Appalling.
We used the black Fri voucher deal and treated ourselves to a stay in the Buchanan suite. It was well worth it! Room is huge and nicely decorated. Very relaxing. We also had dinner in the hotel and this was also great. Rib eye steaks were cooked just right. Will be looking to come back for a treat again soon!Rooms: 5/5
Hotel is lovely, service of staff, food all get pass marks, rooms and all of the hotel very clean. We were at a wedding, be aware no cash is taken at the bars, and for some reason they don't stock Bacardi or any white rumtake your own, we were in room 28 ,found it quite cold,no thermostat to control temperature, water for shower was also cold , and in my own opinion they have the bedroom all wrong, the bed is very tight to enter from both sides ,the bed would be better where the tv is and vice versa.
We stayed here for two nights to attend an event nearby. We didn't really have any expectations going in as it was meant to be a base so that we could go to the event. However, the staff were absolutely brilliant here. We stay away a lot in the UK and are often left a bit disappointed by customer service but the staff at The Busby were just wonderful. Attentive, accommodating, friendly and not pushy/in your face. There were two weddings on the days/nights we were there but it didn't affect our visit in any way. The food and drink at The Busby is of a high quality - we are both foodies and have learned to lower our expectations of hotel food but The Busby was a pleasant surprise. A good, diverse but small dinner menu with all food cooked perfectly. Lunch menu is great - light bites or gastro pub style meals. The drinks selection is good and the cocktails are of a good quality. Try the Disaronno Velvet - you won't be disappointed. Breakfast offerings are varied and of a good quality but if you want toast you have to ask for it. The decor is modern/classic and the hotel is clean. Our room was very nice - I'd wanted to upgrade in advance was unable to but there were weddings on during our stay. The shower is excellent, really, really excellent. The mattress and pillows were a bit too firm for our liking but this is something that is very subjective and I guess hotels etc are at the mercy of personal preference with this. The Busby was a really pleasant surprise and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Due to its location, we are unlikely to have a need to visit again but given how enjoyable the experience was, we wouldn't rule out another visit for a chilled, romantic couple of nights. Well done to The Busby for recruiting such top notch staff!
The hotel itself is really nice, a really lovely room and the food evening meal and breakfast were delicious and the service for the evening meal was excellent. If you need to be in this area I can't imagine that there is a nicer place to stay than this.Rooms: 5/5
Busby Hotel came highly recommended as digs for a business trip and the hype was severe. I was a bit apprehensive that it wouldn't live up to the lofty promise, but it delivered ten times over. I stayed for three nights and the place started to feel like home from home by the third night. Only difference was the breakfast was better than home, the shower was better than home, the service was better than home huge props to Rob at the bar for being super attentive and accommodating. If I had to pick one fight, it'd be that the mattress was a lot firmer than home, but that'd really be splitting a bawhair. All told, it was superb. If you have a chance to stay here, stay here.
