We had an overall good experience there as my dad was seeing a consultant at the King's Oak. However, I would give zero rating to the MRI service that my dad received at the Cavell site. We had encountered the most rudest person who could ever be allowed to work with public at this department. I'm not sure how she treated my dad, as I was not allowed to go in the MRI room. Possibly training the staff on how to talk to people with some basic level of kindness and compassion would have helped. No one deserves to be treated that way especially when you pay for the treatment.

Horrible. Unless you are claustrophobic yo wont understand this..but i went in to have a knee MRI scan. I asked how far i would go into the machine as am incredibly anxious. Following being trapped in a lift. I was assured I would be ok as it was a knee scan so i would go in up to my waist. A second lady appeared and between the two of them seemed to be talking at me whilst putting on massive headphones and some shield like thing. Next thing i am going further in at speed and am now told my head wont go in...i panicked and had to get out. At no point was i made to feel relaxed or cared for. Noone understands claustrophobic people...this was horrible. Never again would i use or recommend this dump.

I have been visiting the Cavell Hodspital off and on for a few years. I have recently seen Dr Besherdas for Gastroenterology. My experience was awful. This guy has absolutely no bedside manner or communication skills, he does not seem interested but doesn't mind taking your money. I had to go back and forward for appointments we no explanation as to what was wrong with me. Either he did not know what he was doing or he was just stringing me along. One consultation lasted for about 5 mins, which is just not good enough considering the amount of money i was paying, would have been better off seeing a Doctor for free on the NHS. In the end I never found out what was wrong with me. Waste of time and money!

I was admitted for surgery in October 2017. The staff were welcoming and I felt well looked after throughout the process. The room was lovely and the food was great. My only criticism would be that I wasn't given a huge amount of information about what to expect but other than that I was more than happy with the service.

Very NHS looking. Needs money spent on it. Not a private hospital feel at all. Also reception staff could do with cheering up.
