I went to this hospital because they operated on a relative of mine. In this hospital there are good and bad things. The positive: the very professional operating room staff and surgeon. Most of the nurses who care for you in the room are friendly and empathetic. The negative: the nurse who was at reception borderline and zero empathic, if she can't stand people better to do something else. Also the information that they must give to the family of the operator was null. we had to go and ask ourselves and we found out that our relative had already undergone surgery and in his room through the WhatsApp that he himself sent us. Really a bittersweet experience
Was booked in for an NHS procedure. Excellent experience.Meadowsuite? Staff were all very professional and kind .the nurse looking after me her name may have been Jenny was lovely.Only negative was the lady on reception 7:50 am Wednesday who was paying no attention and was completely disinterested in anyone arriving. A male member of staff wearing a black polo, had to gain her attention. Her instruction weren't very helpful, but he offered to carry my bag and escorted me to the suite which was round the back of the hospital so I didn't have to go out in the rain
Great doctors but the reception team let’s this whole place down diabolically. When I’ve recently called I’m always greeted with the most blunt, rude and passive aggressive receptionist who is so blunt, it’s quite clear she doesn’t care or want to help at all. It’s actually left me in shock at how rude and unhelpful someone can be to a patient just asking a question.
3rd time attending Rivers. Doctors and nurses are lovely. Reception staff are so rude, lacking empathy. Rude to the point of upsetting people.
Had an appointment for 09.30 this morning and was late to see my consultant. I arrived at 09.20 but queued at reception for nearly 10 minutes as there was only two individuals available. One had a lengthy chat with an internal team member, she had no concept of the patients queueing at the door and the other just stared into her computer screen. By the time I was asked forward it was 09.30 and I had 6 other people behind me!
I've been a patient at rivers hospital for 20 years paying privately with bupa and the service has gone completely down hill I had a blood test one week ago and because I have small veins you can't see so well the nurse was so rude to me and said she can't do it and got another nurse who couldn't do it properly either my arm is severely bruised it's discusting and when I called for the results she said no I have to drive all the way to rivers hospital to get them! Outrageous I pay alot of money with buoa for private care I will make a big complaint about this to them I'm very upset.

I had an x ray done here on Tuesday. All the staff were very kind and professional. Thanks to all in radiology.
Seen promptly by appointment. Staff are good at directing you around the hospital to different departments. Results are given orally and later written reports. Efficiently getting you in and out of the building with the minimum of contact. So far appears efficient but still feels like everyone is still avoiding you as much as possible even though that might not be their intention.
Rivers hospital Staff are helpful and friendly and the hospital also seems clean, but I must mention I was seen by *******************Mr Mo Armed ***************** for a follow up appointment to have my MRI results which he had arranged for me to have and investigate. With my results there were other findings to . He is a lovely gentleman that takes he’s time to explain and organise tests to get to the bottom of my problem. He is happy to sit and listen to what I had to explain without rushing or interrupting me. It really does show that he cares and is passionate about what he does. We need more people like you! Thank you .
