Such a famous large Beautiful hospital and it Looks like a Great hospital from the outset, vary Modern and high tech with all the latest equipment the whole hospital as had lots of investment with new facilities , It could be one of the best hospitals in the UK if it was maintained well. Don’t get me wrong they probably have vary skilled staff and they was very smiley and sweet people but the language barrier could be a potential problem for getting this done like the basic cleaning of toilets and litter on the floor it’s such a shame because it as the potential to be the best .. I was their for a knee scan and it was a nightmare trying to find someone who didn’t misunderstand what I was saying I must have gone to every department and they all said something different and didn’t quite understand me even showing them my appointment card didn’t help much , yes the staff speak English but it’s poor broken English and it worries me that mistakes could happen and cost somebody a major mistake in some way, I personally think that Communication is important in the medical field not sure if the NHS would agree with me.

Had Secondary TA reconstruction for heel spur and Achilles’ tendon. I would like to thank surgeon Mr Atkinson in orthopaedics for pre operation consultations and for carrying out procedure to a successful conclusion. Excellent recovery care after surgery by all staff in recovery unit. No pain day 1 after procedure.

Worst hospital ever. Extremely rude, terse reception staff. Disgusting A&E. Filthy toilets. How can this waste of taxpayers money facility ever heard of, let alone be implementing infection control?? Simply shocking. Avoid at all costs. Strongly recommend that this establishment is closed forthwith. I pity the patients who come here.

I attended an out patient gyne clinic today and was very happy with my experience. The waiting room was light, airy and comfortable but most importantly clean! The receptionist smiled, I was seen on time, and the doctor (Miss Kulkarni) was professional with a friendly bed side manner that put my nerves at ease.

I was so impressed with my care in the A and E dept this week having been knocked down by a van. Injuries were cut to the head and sprained ankle so I needed X ray and stitches. All the staff I met from paramedics, ambulance and in the department were courteous and professional. The department was extremely busy with queueing for all areas yet the care I received was excellent including the quick and competent X-ray. The only criticism I would have is that it would have been good if someone explained why I was waiting on a trolley in the corridor. I understood eventually it was because a cubicle wasn't immediately free for me to receive care. Just needs someone to quickly explain that when you are left. I left feeling that all the staff were working to their best ability in a highly pressured situation.
