Established for over 35 years, The Holly Private Hospital, Essex is part of Aspen Healthcare. We provide a wide range of services including outpatient clinics and treatment in most specialties, diagnostic imaging, screening, physiotherapy, GP services, pharmacy, fertility, weight-loss, cosmetic surgery, pathology and sterile services for patients, the local community and other healthcare organisations.

We work with over 300 of the most experienced consultants and other specialists locally, many of whom also have substantive posts within the NHS. All our nurses are fully qualified and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

This was my first privatally arranged surgery. The surgeon and operating theatre team were excellent. The nurses and general care dreadful. If this was a shopping experience it would be Liddel. Post op I was pushed into my room and left there with no offer of water nor food other than the warm water from the hand basin. No nurse responded to any of the numerous calls I made and it wasn’t until the surgeon came round to see me that I had to explain I’d like to eat something. A nurse came to see me with a bag of medication 4 and half hours after op. Confusingly explained to me the details. Confessed that she didn’t like the sight of blood, forgot to take out a tube coming out of my hand, pulled it as she looked away. . Then left without any aftercare advice, washing info etc. There was more but enough said, I couldn’t possibly recommend this place if private care is important to you . This was a cheaper option, but I’d say spend the extra money and have it done in another private hospital with your preferred surgeon.

Been here a couple of times and couldnt recomend it enough. Highly trained professional consultants and excellent general staff. I arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment today expecting to wait a while but was seen within 10 minutes.

The specialist my son saw did not care to listen to my concerns. He was very arrogant and uncaring. The girl who called to take payment was the rudest most disrespectful person that I’ve come across. You’d think For the 200 an hour rate they took, they would take caution to train staff tone when talking to customers. She made me feel as if I’d fraudulently gave false details. She actually hung up the phone on me without taking all the details, I was then called by someone else who said I’d given wrong details and the payment was getting declined!!!!!!! If the girl wasn’t so cocksure of herself and took all my details then that wouldn’t have happened would it? When I complained about her behaviour I was told she was off sick .... I’d just been put through to the new assistant by her. I will never recommend this place. It’s too expensive for the treatment I received. There’s plenty of other reputable places to choose from. Avoid like the plague. Wrong attitude, disgusting service

The rhinoplasty surgery that I had to have with Doctor Samuel Jayaraj was done flawlessly,everything was explained to me in details, the nurses were all friendly in special Louise, post surgery was looked after as well. I feel very confident in recomending this hospital.
