Been a Alfa lover many years and had many models, My GT was my first new ownership and was very happy, car was plagued with so many issues, which were carried out under warranty and delayed my interval servicing. Easy to call these people all the names but I will offer a sincere review, my experience after buying was stressful and disruptive, I at times found them rude and unaccommodating, my vehicle had full service history and delays caused by them dictating the bookings and ordering parts, when the timing belt went causing thousands of £ damage at 43k miles no one took responsibility, they even caused damage to my car and stole my full tank of fuel as no car check in was complete as the AA dropped vehicle in, this included as seen by photos inlet chrome tubes were rusty dented, the offside wing had dents around bonnet area, inside car was smeared in oil, passenger seat handle release broken. Please bear in mind the car was still newish with low mileage, they claimed damage was already there and after all I never serviced the car on time even though Alfa UK continued to offer warranty cover, The car is in still immaculate condition throughout, this was a result of complete contempt and duty of care, I had a breakdown eventually with the stress and financial cost of ownership but moreover dealing with the worse kind of people, when you are paying and buying it's all smiles, turn the table on them no matter how gentle and watch how gangster they become, I am now with BMW and I am so happy this experience is over with Alfa even the main company wash their hands no one wants responsibility for selling a bad car with manufacturing faults.
This review relates only to the service department, the Sales department are fantastic and we have bought 2 cars from here. They have such a complete disregard for customer service that is actually shocking. The photograph of the customer service promise is incredibly misleading. Its frustrating to call the service dept multiple times per day and it not be answered, it's frustrating that when that call is diverted to reception in the same garage and they tell you it will be returned it is not ever and I mean EVER. Its frustrating that my car was there for 9 days and I had no idea at all what was going on because I could not speak to anyone. This is not sour grapes, the repair was a warranty issue and so far 24hrs is working fine, I did not have to pay for it, in fact Jeep UK supplied me, organised by Bishops, with an Enterprise rental car. However, when it comes to paid for services and sales, I will be going elsewhere, even though that involves a long drive. They get 2 stars because the car was repaired, and I did get a hire car.
Car was not prepared for test drive. Had not been cleaned as there was white dog hair in the car, hand marks on the doors and windows ect. We are in a COVID 19 alert and yet this is the standard this dealership presents. we had traveled for over an hour to this dealership today, so not local. They also double booked us, so after returning from test drive we waited for over 20 minutes, before giving up and handing the keys to another member of staff and walked away. Astounded.
We would like to say ThankYou to both Mr Daryl Longhurst and Mr Ian Bonner from the Guildford Dealership for helping Garry and I to purchase our new Fiat 500X Sport. A very welcoming and professional level of service from the start to collection date. If your looking to purchase a new Fiat/Alfa Romeo then this is your dealership. Thank you again Gents.. Great service, helpful and friendly staff. Our 2016 wrangler was immaculate. We'll be back here in the future for another, even if we still live 2 and s half hours away!
I brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee in for a media fault. I've not had a great experience in the past with dealerships, however Bishops Guildford surpassed my expectations. They were very fair and reasonable with regards to the cost of the fix required for the vehicle. The car was cleaned inside and out and the video sent for the complimentary vehicle health check was much appreciated. The Service Advisor, Nick, and his Manager were extremely polite and helpful - thank you. I will definitely come back again.
Their sales team create a friendly & welcoming atmosphere. Rob and John were extremely helpful & responsive and the dealership stands out by contrast to many others. I would certainly recommend them for new or pre-owned vehicles. I'm very happy and will go back
Totally unhelpful, staff lolloped all over desks. Have not repaired faults with a new second hand vehicle which had supposedly been through a high service checks. Basically driving a dangerous vehicle that can cut out at anytime, possibly a cause of a potential accident. Garage fully aware there are faults and they are denying that a battery fault can not cut out a vehicle even though the start stop fails to function and they had to replace corroding brake cables. If I had the chance I would never go to this garage ever again. The only reason I have given a star is that I am unable to post without highlighting one!
Friendly staff but I was expecting to be talked through the car a bit first not just given the keys and sent off for a test drive. It's great not feeling pressured to buy but a bit more info would have been helpful as I felt like I had to make an effort to extract the info I needed. I was hoping to be shown how the entertainment system worked but was told I'd be shown when the car was delivered. The guys knew I wouldnt be buying that day as they didn't have the colour I was after so maybe that's why but with more enthusiastic service I'd at least be more likely to return in the future if they had a car I wanted.
I rang them and spoke with the Service Department asking if I could bring my FIAT to be repaired after a breakdown in the middle of a motorway and they said yes. So I arranged roadside recovery and brought my car to this dealer. As soon as I arrived I met an unfriendly and less than polite guy who rudely and assertively dismissed me out saying that they had no interest in dealing with my Fiat. I could not reply or ask for any other advice and had to bring my car to another garage, obviously paying a double trip with the recovery people. Very poor customer care. Significantly below the usual Fiat standards.
