Stopped by the bar. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, with friendly staff. A great whiskey collection and, large comfy chairs. There's a large dining area that looked very inviting too, though we didn't stay for food. There's easy pushchair/wheelchair access.

Our recent stay at the Salutation was a very positive experience. My wife and I have stayed here before, but this was our first visit with our children. As before the hotel is clean well appointed and has a sense of grandeur. The staff were helpful and polite and most of all welcoming. The facilities at the Salutation are excellent with the pool being a particularly useful distraction on wet days. Overall a successful short break which was enjoyed by both children and parents alike. Thank you Salutation

One of the best hotels we have stayed in , food was outstanding both breakfast and evening meal. Room very clean and spacious with incredibly frendly and helpful staff. As for the included spa facility's can't rate them highly enough , the massive outdoor hot tub a personal favorite in the snow .

Very pleasant hotel. Had our Xmas party here and they pulled out all the stops. The food was delicious and plentiful. The disco was brilliant as the DJ was local and played anything we asked for. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely room with a delightful on suite bathroom and a walk out balcony. Tea and coffee kit was stowed in a sliding shelf in it's own cupboard opposite end to your fridge. Each room has a parking place and you are right in the centre of town. We had a terrific breakfast and a great dinner. The staff were more than friendly and very helpful. We would go back anytime. Thank you to the management and staff for such a relaxing time.
