Well priced room but no breakfast. Paid for breakfast to be brought in the morning which was satisfactory. A little cold though. The room itself was clean and they were able to provide an iron and ironing board which was useful. The corridors seemed untidy and unkempt and the building must be old because it seems to slant in places! Overall a pleasant stay. =
Don't be put off by the location on a busy road, this hotel is very good. The rooms are perfectly standard, but there's many thoughtful additions to the offer, including Sky TV, top quality tea bags, a. Shuttle service to the tube station and the option of using the hotel's deliveroo account for a take away meal. Breakfast is good too, but there's no fried eggs available.
Unacceptable. It's nowhere near the tube and on a busy road but is actually decent inside with clean rooms and good quality/basic decor. This would account for the relative cheap price. However! There was a function on wedding I think and the noise level was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Not talking about the guest noise but the hotel music system and DJ. This ran far too late and I joke not, shook the floor to the extent that cups and glasses fell to the floor through bass vibrations. There was no warning that this noise would be happening either on the booking website or when checking in. The staff working that evening could not have cared less about the noise complaints. Offered nothing and just literally shrugged. Absolutely avoid at all costs. Will never return and has put me off all best western hotels too.
The entrance to the hotel is attractive and pleasant. The room my wife and I stayed in was quite nice with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and contemporary and the shower was very powerful - didn't want to get out... Parking is limited to a small car park with an electric security gate to the rear of the hotel and a few spaces to the front. After hours on street parking is free. The front desk staff, though polite, did not ask about our stay, etc. - this was a little disappointing. Also, if your room overlooks the dual carriageway in the case of our son, then the road noise will be an issue. Despite having double glazed windows, it wasn't enough to create a quiet atmosphere in the room. Nevertheless, give them a try.
Great value hotel 40-50 mins from Westminster bus/underground. We managed to park in the hotel car park which was great. Rooms were good standard and comfy beds/pillows. Bathrooms were on the small side we had a 3 day stay and found all the staff to be very friendly. No e bar area for an end if day drink. Would stay here again.
Lovely comfy beds..fantastic breakfast tho not included in price. Safe car park.Courtesy shuttle to tube was brilliant extra for us..much appreciated, and free. Receptionist was very very helpful..dark hair and glassesnothing too much trouble and she printed routes and information for us, making our day flow freely. Will use The Palm again as so central for our requirements..tho think we will have an upper floor room next time as we had elephants above!
Clean and spacious rooms, air conditioning and Sky. Excellent staff who couldn’t do enough to help us and our 3 dogs. Secure On site parking. Fantastic Covid precautions being observed. No bar service available but told if we wanted an alcoholic drink then to just ask at reception. The breakfast a little disappointing but understandable due to the current situation but plenty in the ‘grab and go’ bags to get you going for the morning. Even though it’s based on a main dual carriage way road there was very little noise at all even with both our windows open. Our two night stay was very comfortable and would definitely stay again.
Hotel staff were friendly and responsive to my requests. The layout of the hotel is a bit chaotic with a few short staircases required to access 2nd floor rooms. The room I stayed in was small with 2 steps separating the entrance/bathroom from the bed area. The room was very clean and bathroom was nicely appointed. The English buffet breakfast was quiet good. My only complaint was the noise from the road was a bit loud at night.
Been staying at this hotel regularly for the past year. Rooms are generally clean and spacious. Hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. Location is great as well. Bus stop right outside, and tube station around 10 minutes away. Highly recommended for business travel and for families traveling on holiday.
Although our room was great and quiet the first night, a party was booked right under us on the second and the music literally shook our room and the walls and floors until midnight. Our sleep was ruined and the hotel staff, though kind, were thoroughly unhelpful, saying that nothing could be done but to offer a free breakfast next day and a future voucher should we come back. This trip was once in a lifetime for me and my daughter and the second night at this hotel was our only dark spot. I will not ever return there and consider myself robbed of money and a decent sleep which I paid far more than the cost of breakfast. I will lodge a complaint with Best Western even though I know that this place is privately owned.
