I love the place. Staff are very friendly and cooperative. They were willing to help and smiling and talking to customers all the time. Lobby is nice and big. Rooms were old but in very good size comparing to London hotels. Food was good. I feel that I am at home.Rooms: 4/5
I booked a deluxe family room but ended up getting 2 separated rooms, which is a plus for us with an additional bathroom. The beds are very comfortable, shower is strong and good heating. The nearest bus stops are only 3 minutes walk from hotel entrance with easy bus ride to tube and oxford shopping street. Breakfast buffet is a real highlight with more than 5 hot dishes, plenty of cold dishes, breads, smoothies and decent coffee. Overall this is an excellent value 4-stars hotel considering how expensive is London.
We stayed here on the first leg of our trip to Rome. It was nice to stay in London to get acclimated to a new country and culture. The hotel was nice which has approx a 10 min walk to the Jubilee underground line. I’m partial to gyms within hotels. This has a decent 24hr facility with most equipment for a complete workout. I took advantage of the well decorated single room shower and changing room after each morning workout. Their breakfasts are nice with a wide array of healthy choices and not some cheap continental breakfasts some places offer. The rooms are ok. We had a double bed with 2 singles for the kids. Remember to bring your plug to charge your cell phone from an EU outlet. They do have a decent bar as well
Danubius boasts a fantastic location and serves a good breakfast. However, there’s room for improvement in staff friendliness. The hotel is conveniently located near numerous great attractions, making it a solid choice for visitors.Rooms: 3/5
Visited here with the family. Nice location next door to Lords Cricket ground. The staff at reception were very welcoming. We had 3 rooms all on the 11th floor, would have been nice to have views of the cricket ground. The room was clean and had everything you need, if I was to be critical it could do with modernising a little. The bar area was very nice although we didn't use it. Breakfast we paid extra for was good, plenty of choice, fresh juices, nice pastries and a really tasty red pepper bread. I would visit here again. Closest tube station we found to the hotel was St Johns wood, a 7 minute walk.
I’ll start with the positives because there was a huge negative!! The location is decent enough a short walk to Regents Park and London Zoo and the price was good. The view from our room was fantastic! The reception area is very nice and we were able to leave our bags with the concierge as we were too early to check in. There are three small lifts to the rooms, but no stairs that we could find my husband would have taken the stairs if he could. The room was equipped with tea, coffee and biscuits, and toiletries in the bathroom. There was only one plug in the room and one behind the TV which the kettle was plugged into, so we could only use this plug for chargers, etc. We couldn’t get the TV to work, but we didn’t care about that. The huge negative was that as soon as we got into our room - room 1112 on the 11th floor top floor - my husband went to open the window and the whole thing opened!! There did appear to be a lock at the bottom which should prevent the window from opening more than a few inches on a tilt, but the lock was broken. The whole big window opened on the 11th floor!! We left the window open when we left the following day so that the housekeeping team would see it, and we informed reception and showed them pictures as we checked out. The man on reception said he would report it. I really really hope it was dealt with before the room was occupied again - it was so dangerous!!
Perfectly placed for Lord's Cricket Ground. Brilliant staff...in every area of the hotel. Thanks Golnaz for splendid care in the dining room this morning! You All always make us feel so welcome and we appreciate that personal touch. Lovely to be in such a pleasant room on the quiet side of the hotel...train sounds do not bother us at all. Noteworthy details: Superb situation for London sights.
The hotel is clean and great overall, but they charged me for a full day of parking even though I only parked my car for 10 hours. The price doesn't feel justified, especially at £400 per night, considering it's not in central London. They didn't want to offer me coffee in the morning before I pay LOL.Rooms: 4/5
The hotel was beautiful inside, all the staff were very professional and friendly. The breakfast choice was extensive and able to cater for gluten and dairy free. Quite a walk from baker Street underground station. Rooms: Twin room was a nice size. Comfy beds. Soft pillows. Nearby activities: Had a lovely massage just a short walk away at Thai London Massage. Safety: Felt perfectly safe at this hotel. Walkability: About 15 minutes walk from Baker Street station along a relatively quiet main road. Food & drinks: Excellent food. Caters well for food allergies. Large selection.
Hotel is a short walk away from public transport but not too far. Right next to Regent Park, but nothing else of not close. Rooms are a bit older but in good condition and the service is excellent! Rooms: Rooms have no outlets bedside but have a couple around the room. Rooms have standard setup; TV, minibar, closet, ensuite.
