Edit 24/2/22. I have never completely changed a review before, but felt it was only fair to revisit this. After my initial negative Aftersales experience, I had a call from Adam, the Aftersales Manager. He has single handedly turned the whole situation around.... He admitted that perhaps they had got it wrong in the first instance and that they were keen to address the situation. To cut a long story short, they have honoured the guarantee and fitted the part. Really brilliant, and I'm so pleased that we managed to resolve it between us. 1 star review changed to a 5 star review.... Very disappointed with this place, after what was a good experience during the actual sale. I bought a nice Mk4 Mazda MX-5 from them less than 3 weeks before writing this review. Unfortunately, part of the exterior windscreen pillar trim has fallen off, and on further inspection the clips that hold it on are damaged, so it's just a case of needing a new one. As it's a convertible, this is an integral part of the windscreen in terms of it being waterproof so naturally, as Available Car provide a 3 month guarantee, I just thought it would be a case of calling them and arranging a replacement to be fitted. However, that turns out not be the case. I was actually told initially that due to the current windy weather, they could not cover the loss of the part as it was classed as trim, and the loss of it was due to the prevailing conditions! All irrelevant in any case as the piece originally came lose before the windy weather actually started. Anyway, it transpires that my brand new to me pride and joy is not covered by the guarantee as this part is classed as trim even though it is an integral part of the integrity of the vehicle. When a bit just falls off your newly purchased car, you would naturally expect a sympathetic response. I did argue the point for a while and the chap did half heartedly say i could bring it in for inspection the week after, but he was certain that it wasn't covered so what would be the point? Due to the nature of the part I needed it replacing urgently so i have had to order and pay for one with a Mazda dealer. Really bad after sales experience after a good actual sales experience which is a shame as i have been a good advocate of theirs with friends and family etc., but sadly no more. Good at selling, not good if you have a problem.
This place is the ultimate in no pressure sales. All the staff are salaried so they are not trying to push you to buy so that they can claim their commission. This is very obvious in the very relaxed attitude that comes from all the staff without exception. When you arrive, if you know what you want in terms of size and purpose of vehicle they will simply point you in the right direction from afar and let you know that you can stay as long as you like open all the doors and sit in the vehicles plus trying out the boots. In our case we wanted to fit my disability trike in the boot and took a lot of time putting it in many of the estate and MPV cars. During this time we had to ask for help a couple of times to put the seats down so we could put the trike in but that was the only interference we had. The rest of the time we could literally imagine how life would be if we owned that vehicle. In the end we only took one MPV for a test drive and bought it but we could’ve test driven many if we’d of wanted. The car we bought was definitely not one that we would have searched for if we haven’t been on the premises trying them all and it really surprised is that a Ford could make us happy given that we are normally Audi and VW type people. It did take some time for us to wait for the test drive. I think we may have been forgotten somehow. Over and over again we were asked if there are any questions rather than any kind of sales pitch it really was a very relaxing atmosphere and never once did we feel pushed into buying extras or insurances et cetera which is so commonly the case. We had two vehicles to part exchange one of which was a much better price than the other so we sold one privately and part exchange the other. Again no pressure from the person that you couldn’t really even call a salesperson. My only one negative point is that we were greeted by one person helped by another to put the car seats down Then waited for another person for the test drive and a further person came and helped us in the end. After the test drive we were then passed onto a further person to deal with the paperwork regarding the sale and deposit. My personal preference though it’s a very small thing would be to have the same person all the way through. We were a unique case but a tiny bit more “selling” or help when we were putting the seats down - which required a PHD in some cases, would not have felt pushy. They are strap line is that they are not there to sell you a car but help you buy one and they’re on our case we could’ve done with a little bit more help especially as we are elderly and I am disabled - hence the need for a trike. These are tiny picky points. Overall an excellent 5 star experience! Especially as our little rescue dogs were involved in the whole thing! And very welcomed at that!
Brilliant experience. Special mention to Simon at Leeds. Sold my car to Available Car who gave me a much better price than any of the specific buying sites and didn’t try and haggle me down following my in-person valuation and agreed it matched the guaranteed-price online description. Had a look a round some cars, unfortunately the finance figures weren’t quite right for me but there was no pressure from the salesmen i dealt with and would definitely use them again to sell or buy. Great selection of cars on site!
Started off with a fantastic salesman who took us on a test drive. He was friendly, easy going and no pressure was put on us to buy the car. We were then ready to leave but the manager then asked us to sit down. We made it clear we wanted to look at other cars elsewhere before making our decision but despite this the sales talk and pressure to buy the car began…
We recently decided to sell our car to Available Car. From start to finish it has been a really stress free and pleasant process. Contact was made fairly quickly after I made the online enquiry and an appointment booked 2 days later. We dealt with Simon Courtney who was super helpful and dealt with any questions we had. We were offered a really competitive price that was higher than other companies had offered. We would highly recommend.
We sold our car recently through the ‘Is Your Car Available’ service, they offered a top top price - over a £1000 more than competitors! Our experience was superb from start to finish, we described the car as excellent because although it was 6 years old, it was in immaculate condition with very low mileage, 1 owner no chips/dents/scratches etc. We accepted their offer immediately online and received a call back from Morgan, who was very helpful and knowledgeable and explained the entire sales process which was very simple. We arranged a date a few days later and met with Morgan at the Leeds site face to face for the handover, there was absolutely no haggling, no alteration to the price offered and a very friendly exchange. It was really nice to deal with one person throughout the process and we felt very well looked after by Morgan and really appreciated the excellent customer service experience. I have read lots of negative stories of people selling their cars to online buyers and I am so glad that I found ‘Is Your Car Available’ to buy my car. Don’t just take my word for it, their reviews speak for themselves, I can’t rate them highly enough - Top price paid & Top service received = Very happy customer I wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again, they truly deserve 5 stars

Nice experience while purchasing the car. However, since purchase 3 months ago, I have had to return the car 4 times - 3 of those times for the same issue. I have collected this again today and the issue is still present. While the aftersales team are extremely polite and efficient , I have no faith in the mechanics at available car. I also had a valet provided as some compensation for the amount of trouble with the car. I have foot prints from boots all over my back seats - not there previously as I have 3 car seats in the back. This is becoming more hassle than it's worth. I'd honestly avoid purchasing from here purely based on thir mechanics.
Shocking, bought a car in May, took breakdown cover have discovered this wasnt set up, took a dashcam this was wired in so it is effected the windows, while installing it they also snapped the plastic cover by the rear view mirror then covered their tracks by using sticky tabs which are now coming off. Apparently I now have to take it in when its convient for them to sort the dash cam, they still dont know whats happend with the breakdown cover and wont cover their damage as its been too long. Aftersales dont do anything apart from say we wont do this or that or i need to speak to another dept. Oh and yes they wont even cover my petrol to rectify their error. Avoid at all costs
Really cannot fault anyone at available car, no pressure, when you need them they are there. Gave me a great part exchange price for my car that I was gobsmacked with. Like I say no pressure at all l unlike certain places, all cars are open and free for you to look inside. Really happy with the car I came away with yesterday and once again cannot fault them
