Great place to stay at. Friendly, clean and quiet. Decent breakfast too. Only downside may be that it's a bit away from city center but worked for me.

Appin house is a wonderful stay. They provided a lovely little suite with a nice, clean bathroom. Daily Scottish breakfasts and you can select what to eat along with tea, coffee, or both! We really enjoyed the stay and the staff are fantastic and very friendly! Really gives you a place to call home in a new city.

Absolutely loved this place. The rooms and private bathroom were impeccably clean and exactly what I needed for my weekend getaway. The family who runs the place are super nice and welcoming!

I had the 1 person room which is small but has everything you might need: a bed a small table a tv and a closet. Bathroom wasnt en suite which I had to get used too but the bathroom itself was lovely, chique and so spacious! The owner was very kind and is always in for a small talk. I loved this stay and I would defenitely recommend staying here.

Helpful and very kind staff, clean, albeit compact, room. At a great quiet location near a main road with plentiful public transport, with links to most of Edinburgh. Has a large variety of books available for reading in the evening on a large shelf in the stairwell. The breakfast food was also really good, with strong coffee and options for either English or Continental breakfast. Overall very pleased with the stay, even serves breakfast to visiting parents' studying children at no additional cost.
