We only stayed one night. The owner was rude and arrogant. Not welcoming at all. Our bedroom was basic and dirty. The shower water was lukewarm and poor pressure. The shower has mold and overall we would rate it 1 star and recommend finding somewhere else to stay.
Very disappointing stay here, we were not advised of the current renovations with the hotel basically a building site. Reception staff very rude. Place was very noisy and if you like quiet at night do not stay here. Located a bit too far out of the city so not ideal for walking, although bus stop literally at the front door. Rooms fair but very dated. The one positive was onsite car parking. Security at night questionable.
The worst thing is that the hotel is currently being renovated, so I woke up early in the morning from a lot of construction noise. It's so loud that it's impossible to sleep. And also the audibility and sewage are terrible. When someone flushes the toilet at night, it sounds like a rocket taking off and you wake up all the time. It's a terrible experience.
Great location a little bit tired but comfortable and good prices for location compared with others. It wasn't spotlessly clean with a bit of dust here and there but I enjoyed my stay here. There was an issue with heating when we arrived. I was told it wasn't switched on until 4pm but they would switch it on early but then It didn't work but was fixed for the evening. It was on for remainder of stay with no issues.
Had everything we needed for a two night stop in Edinburgh on our travel through Scotland. Easy check in, free parking which is a huge bonus, room was clean and comfortable and felt safe and cosy. Balcony door didn’t open but wasn’t bothered by that at all. Bus stop directly opposite and outside to go into town less than 10 mins with helpful info at reception desk for which buses to catch. We were both really happy with our stay here :
