Went for valentines dinner with the hubby. Wait, staff in point. Fast and efficient and friendly. The host was friendly and helpful on arrival. I had an old-fashioned drink, and it was to die for. Best one I've had. The food itself as a fussy eater was absolutely . Best garlic butter sauce with the 24-oz stake. Cooked to perfection. The choice menu for a 3 course you could pick individually of it of her a share board. I have been super impressed with the food and drinks. They even had zero alcohol drinks for drivers. And lastly, the atmosphere here was rustic and homily. With the furnishing to match. Well worth the price.
Beautiful gastro pub. Well decorated for a warm country pub feel. Very pleasant and welcoming staff and good drunk selection. A Tuesday night but still almost full house gives a fab 1st impression. Star of the show in a gastro pub of course the food. Well priced for the superb quality. Award winning steak and cheese pie was fantastic. Top marks all round. We will be back.
Nice country pub with rustic style. Good choice of food and drinks on the menu, I recommend the Baked Camembert starter but share between 3/4 people - it was delicious! We visited on a Tuesday night and it was busy which is a good sign though
Mothers Day lunch with the family. We have visited before and always received beautiful food and excellent customer service, but we weren't sure what to expect on a very busy mothers day. You didnt disappoint us, from making the initial booking enquiry, to receiving confirmation, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff were amazing as always and great with the grandchildren. Really nice pub with a great atmosphere, no wonder it is always busy. Staff are friendly and attentive. The food was really good and can honestly say it was filling, maybe the fish could of been less oily but it tasted so good. Certainly a place to visit winter or summer as they have a large out door sitting area.

Wonderful mid afternoon meal. The salmon with new potatoes, fennel and spinach aioli was divine; I especially loved the crispy salmon skin! Their award-winning chicken pie on a bed of mash was devoured to the last bite. Two burgers were equally superb. The New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc was crisp and delicious. Friendly staff in a gorgeous setting. Highly recommended. We will definitely return!
We met friends here for an evening meal which was excellent. The service was very friendly and well paced. Nice staff and atmosphere. Fair prices for good food. The pies especially are highly recommended.
* Nice gastropub. Very instagrammable. Lots of parking. Outdoor seating. * you have to order at the bar even if you're sat outside. There is cheap looking corrugated plastic sheeting on the outside section which makes it a greenhouse in the sun. * £16 for the "gold award" winning steak pie. Decent. Quite big - you could probably share between 2. * Chips OK * Halloumi fries are good. Lots of options on the menu.
2nd time here this time for a Sunday dinner and it was very nice , kids had pizza & chips and they enjoyed that deserts sticky toffee pudding was lovely,Eton mess was enjoyed the brownie was to rich and they never told us it came with nuts on and toffee I've cream should be vanilla in my opinion it was not on the menuFood: 4/5
