I was looking forward to some sushi, I hadn't been to Yo! for years. Initially the service was weird, quite impersonal. It felt a bit like being ignored even though only a handful of people were in the queue. I'm inclined to put this down to staff being busy clearing tables but still not great service. The new order system is okay but it's not as fun, no dishes are circulating on the conveyor. You just order what you want, pay online. The food itself, I thought it was mediocre. The Korean chicken sauce was so sweet, sweeter than most desserts, almost inedible. The sushi was okay tasting but I've never seen so few fish eggs on the one with it, It looked a bit sad. On a positive note, the staff were good once we were seated and the food was served quickly. I'm not going to be in a rush to go back sadly.
We booked a table and were seated straight away. Food was absolutely amazing and more then enough. Nothing was too much for our waiter Maddie who was constantly on the ball, very friendly, good conversation and very bubbly. Thanks Again!x
Incomplete orders, and the attitude of the staff isn't the best when asked about it. Even my 10 year old commented on it. Not the first time either. Clearly getting towards the end of the shift and wanting to go home. The missing food, when it eventually arrived, looked like it had been thrown together in a hurry and only looked vaguely like the menu photo. Sorry, but had to be said. The rest of the food was delicious, hence the 3 stars, but won't be in any rush to go back.
Love Yo! The belt is no longer in use, probably due to covid! Order on the app now, which I found less tempting. We were informed kids eat free, the pictured meal was free with every £10 spent. I had one child bet we spent £20 and ordered 2. We shared all the food, felt well fed and the kids meals come with a drink. Very good value. I do miss the old way, with the coloured plates. We spent half what we would have spent previously.
We don’t complain ever and this took a lot of courage but we have seen a massive decline in products produced at this sushi place and it’s sad to see the prices they charge and this is quality you get. Understaffed and no longer a great place to come .
Today I ordered to take away. Thought it is going to be prepared fresh but couldn't be more wrong. I was waiting for a while for my number then finally after 10 min asked for my order and the lady she was really kind just took my sushi from the fridge - everyone is touching those boxes and sushi was not in its best shape - most pieces were already broken. Tasted like sushi from the supermarket - but just more expensive. I saw people in the restaurant enjoying freshly made sushi so I would recommend everyone to just order and sit in and eat do not order for take away. I think this is my first bad review ever.
It was a quiet lunchtime mid week but the service was great and it was a chilled environment. Food is always amazing and was quick and fresh. The new app ordering system is a good way to get your favourite items made for you. Also you can earn points as a member of their loyalty club and they also include themselves in other promotions.
Had my first ever visit to Yo during the week and was left highly disappointed. Ordered food on app and was waiting for it to come around on the belt, only for staff members to hand it over directly part of the whole experience gone. At 8pm, told they were calling last orders. We left not long after and before we had gone they started knocking the signage, belt and lights off. Felt like staff didn't want to be there and didn't want us there either. On the flip side, the food was good!
Visited today for lunch! Amazing atmosphere, very friendly and chatty staff and a lot of options to choose from. If you ever find yourself there you have to try the Spicy Tuna Roll and the Salmon Teriyaki. Definitely going back in the future!Food: 5/5
Fantastic experience as always the staff are great and head chef Ioan always goes above and beyond for us and the food never disappoints. Loved trying some of the new dishes aswell as keeping to some of the old favourites. Keep up the great work!
