Very friendly staff. Food quality is just a little bit shocking. There’s not much selection either. Burger buns were stale, jacket potato wasn’t cooked through. Chicken leg thing was bloody awful, idk what was wrong with it, It just tasted awful! The chips were lush and the corn on the cob was fantastic!! The fudge cake and custard was also nice! But for £15 a person, it’s just not worth it. Most things tasted frozen. We won’t be returning unfortunately. Vegetarian options: There isn’t any!
Better experience than what I expected. Not too many choices but not too little either. Choices range from salad, soup we had tomato soup that day, pork ribs which are pretty good, beef burgers, three types of pizzas all are very decent, curry, rice, pasta, and more. Desserts provided on the day we went included ice cream, vegan brownies, tarts, and american pancakes with sauces. £14.99 all-you-can-eat is actually a pretty fair deal for the food provided. Overall the food is average but as stated above, the pork ribs and pizzas are pretty good. Restaurant is pretty tidy and the staff are quite friendly and efficient. A solid choice if you want to be full for a meal with a decent price.
Came down to the metro center from Scotland and for lunch though we'd have a nice buffet oh how we were wrong. The food was absolutely disgusting , one choice of soup , vegetable, that was cold and looked like it had been sitting for days , the food choices weren't just poor but non existent , two choices of curry both tasteless, cold and again looked like they had been lying for days , burgers with hard rolls and a choice of deserts well no real choice of deserts. Money wasted save your money and your stomach and avoid!!!!
This place a long time ago was good, when it used to be upstairs at the opposite end of the metro center. Now the food it literally cheap nasty stuff and the price is way too much, For my partner and me with a baby bowl and 2 refillable drinks it was £42. I'd much rather McDonald's.
For the kids prices you can't go wrong, but adults are around £10 more expensive. The food choices are OK but the "Homemade" sign is false. You can tell the burgers, sausages and nuggets are just cheap processed foods. If you're after an "all-you-can-eat" buffet, Za Za Bazaar in Newcastle is a better option, probably 3 or even 4 times as many catering choices available. Vegetarian options: Not a huge amount of vegetarian options available at all. Hopefully they'll start at cater for more vegetarian foods.
First time dining at Big Lukes Metrocentre but it will not be my last. Food was lovely especially the ribs and roast chicken which were cooked to perfection. Excellent service from attentive staff made this visit a memorable experience
Typical american style buffet. Your not paying fine dining prices, so dont expect too much in the way of quality. Plenty of choice, salad and soup, pizza, cavery, curry, mex etc etc. Good desert counter with pancakes etc. Something for everyone at a bargain price and you can pay for the refillable soft drinks to keep the cost down, especially if you have kids. Quite a bit of child friendly food too. Kid-friendliness: Plenty of choice for the kids. Unlimited soft drinks option and the dessert counter with ice cream and pancakes proved a hit
Upon walking in to this unhygienic place, there was 4 staff huddled behind one till, one of the male staff were massaging the others female staff members shoulders at the till. Other members of staff were in a group of 5 gossiping in the middle of the shop floor getting in the way of customers, i approached the pizza hot counter to find the female chef on her phone, she didn't stop even after seeing me…then as i took some burgers from the pile at the hot counter, i witnessed a male chef sneeze down his self as he prepared food, to then go on to wipe his nose along his arm, before continuing his conversation to his male colleague in the kitchen…The food hygiene inspectors need to go in undercover to sit and spectate this disgusting place!
Absolutely disgusting, food tasted as if it had been sat for an eternity. And to confirm my suspicions when I got a burger the bun was hard and stale. Complained on the way out as virtually everything was inedible except the pre bought ice pops! but just got a "sorry about that" 4 adults attended we all came to the same conclusionFood: 1/5
Now then Mr Luke, its be approximately 30 hours since I dined in your fine establishment to say I'm still paying the price would be an understatement I may aswell drag my duvet into the bog. However having said that it has to be said the bait was fantastic the pink chicken was the pick of the bunch. I shall be returning within the next 12 months equip with some big eaters to really take you to the cleaners, till then au revoir.
