Came after a day out In the area to be welcomed to the restaurant, clean cosy and welcoming. Staff excellent and attentive and mealcarvery was excellent, server didn’t skimp on servings unlike other Toby carverys in the area. Highly recommend this particular one and will visit again. A+++
Helen was positive and professional. We last ate here months ago and I instantly recognised her as our waitress from last time due to her lovely manner. Roast beef was like shoe leather. Fairly sure that’s not Helen’s fault though ;-Recommended dishesRoast
first carvery since 2019, and it did not disappoint! we were seated & had drink orders taken quickly, the carvery queue moved quickly, and we had plenty of time to eat before we were offered dessert which we got; good all round, with my friend saying their brownie was particularly good. we were served by Emily, who did an absolutely wonderful job; she gave us a choice between a table & a booth, and was very patient during payment. would 100% return again.
We had an excellent time all round. We were served by a number of very helpful and professional staff, particularly one of your colleagues Jak who was extremely diligent in his help with serving my husband who has a nut allergy. Jak was completely spot on with making sure my husband was safe with what he was eating, which was fantastic and above and beyond what we have received in terms of concern in other restaurants. The food we received was good standard and just as we would have expected in a Toby Carvery, great quality, fresh and cooked to perfection. The restaurant itself was clean and well presented. This was our first visit but we will certainly by back!
Staff are always friendly and welcoming no matter who they are, today I was served by Helen who always recognises me and says hello and knows what I usually order as with most of the staff as I come in at least weekly with my toddler who always gets their attention which he loves, overall a very friendly and welcoming environment. My only issue is the inconsistency of the veg on offer which is barely a complaint as I know you have supplier issues as does most establishments
Booked breakfast with Santa today and we had been very excited. Last visit to Kingston Park Toby was great. We frequently have breakfast at Toby’s. However, today we have to say; we visited Metro Centre Toby and were disappointed. The plates seemed it had not been washed properly. Some dried particles of food was still on it. I cleaned them with some hand towels. But the other big thing that annoyed me was that they had half of the breakfast menu things and still we’re charging the full price. There was no fried eggs, but only scrambled. No pan cakes and my two children love pan cakes. They don’t eat much of other things. Pots were empty and the service at the serving counter was dreadful. I waited for a while for pots to be changed so we could have some. We decided today, no more Toby especially Metro centre one. Good bye Toby Carvery. The staff at the counter and Santa were okay. Appeared to be pleasant. So two stars for them.
Went last minute and got awesome service from Helen. Nothing was too much bother and she was so attentive and polite. If we could have her servicing us every time I'd be here every day night. Hats off to her
Food and staff very nice. We are regular visitors mostly once a week the air-conditioning/ heating has been broken for months. In summer it was so hot uou couldn't enjoy your meal. Now the colder weather is near you're sitting there freezing. This also means the food in quite cold too. This needs sorting ASAP. Such a shame as we usually love your restaurant!
Had lovely food here today! All staff were lovely, giving us extra scraping and being lovley. Helen was our server today really friendly really chatty lovely would highly recommend
It's not the best, to be honest. We sat for over 10 minutes waiting to give our drinks order before going for food. We stopped waiting and went for food, we ate half of it before they came to see if we wanted a drink. Plenty of staff around chatting to each other nit looking after customers.Food: 3/5
