This is a great pub! There is a very good selection of drinks and a welcoming atmosphere, plenty of space and seats, with an open area and some comfy booths. It's a must-visit if you're heading to Low Fell.Service: 4/5

Often pop in for a pint after work on a Friday. They have Gamma Ray and Neck Oil from Beavertown, and Shipyard, as well as all the usual beers etc. Always friendly.Service: 5/5

Absolutely love the feel, been a while since I've been in but sometimes change is better, can't wait to go back and experience the rum shack, high recommend for midweek drinks and especially the Tuesday for quiz night, it is literally next level!
Nice 'Community' High St. Pub on Durham Rd. called in for a quick pre match pint, Sadly, it was all Fizz, lots of it too, so if you like techno-beer you'll probably love this place..
We recently had my father's after-funeral reception here and every effort was made to make the day special. The manager arranged for a photograph slide show of pictures of our Dad to be shown on a TV in the area where we were sitting. Food was excellent, all of the staff were helpful and sympathetic. All of the efforts the staff went to were greatly appreciated by our family. Thank you.
