We had a lovely day looking around Whiteleys Garden Centre Mirfield. It has plenty of plants, gifts, garden furniture, garden lights, wild bird food, water features, clocks etc. There is also a lovely cafe with an outdoor seating area. The disabled toilet is very clean and is big enough to take a wheelchair in. Would definitely recommend a visit xxx
Very nice garden center. Not huge but big enough. Nice Christmas displays. Very popular cafe. Amazing in house cakes. And very good food. Lovely cream teas as well. Take your granny or your wife. Fab place.
We have been looking round garden centres endlessly for an outdoor corner set and fire pit which is reasonably priced but had no luck! My husband then found Whiteleys so we travelled through to have a look and we found exactly what we was looking for and more !!! As soon as we arrived a lady called Lisa introduced herself and I new immediately that we would buy from here...she was super friendly, helpful and funny. There was no pushy sales or pressure and very quickly we realised all the staff were lovely and seemed very happy in their job! Lisa and her elf sorry don't know your name but you told us you are an elf at Christmas time assisted us throughout and nothing was too much trouble!! I have to stress LISA was amazing and Whiteleys should be very proud of her and its because of Lisa that we will return again and again. The level of customer service was fantastic and unheard of these days! The centre itself is neat and well presented and we will return for afternoon tea!! We would like to thank Lisa her Elf and the speedy delivery service for the best customer experience we have had in a long time....we will spread the word...see you guys again..5 star customer service!. THE WING FAMILY!!!!!
Nice little garden centre, prices are mid-range, good selection and quite a few sale items. We took a wheelchair and the layout is not signposted well. Came to a stop a couple of times because of the stairs. And also not being able to pass because of trolleys in the aisle. Really friendly staff, polite and approachable
Upped their game somewhat, maybe being taken over by British garden centres has helped. Looked like the in-between times when we were there, Christmas stuff being taken out and some new stock coming in. Food excellent had all day loaded omelette very tasty very filling, my wife had the cheeseburger, knocked anything other burger outlets provide for six, bigger and more tastier she said. Also a great cup of coffee to wash everything down.
Liked this place MGC not huge, but really pleasant to look around. Set on a hill, go see what they've done with the flower beds it's an inspiration. Outside really clean and tidy. While there go further up the hill to the farm shop. If you want to see what farm shops were like in the 50s, no expense spared hehe worth a look enjoyed my afternoon out.
Brought friends over from Holmfirth to eat the carvery because last week it was excellent. Arrived at 13.30 on a Sunday to be told they'd run out of meat so no carvery. First meal came out 10 mins before the other two meals, knives and folks dirty and my gammon was like eating leather not good will not return it looked like it was getting back to how it used to but looks its gone back to been poor again.
What a magical place... so much to do and enjoy and has a lovely coffee shop as well. A little high on the price though.
Not bad at all. I needed to kill a couple of hours this day while waiting for my wife to finish training, so I took a look around the centre. Nicely laid out but did not find what I was looking for but enjoyed my visit all the same. They still have a huge number of crimbo goodies if you want some Tinsley bits for Xmas 23 +.
Went there expecting our usual lovely breakfast, arrived craving it and was disappointed to find out they had changed the end time for breakfast to 11:00, we were gutted but decided to just have something from the lunch menu instead, but when we ordered we were told that the lunch menu wasn't available and to order at 11:30. This was incredibly strange not only because you seemingly could not order food for 30 minutes at the height of popularity at the place, but there was somebody next to us receiving some toast that she ordered. We asked about it and they said that you can order toast but nothing else. We were incredibly confused that at peak times toast was the only thing you could order! Nevertheless we thought we'd get some toast to put us on until lunch, just to be told by another member of staff that you couldn't order it because it was on the breakfast menu. So we had multiple members of staff telling us bizarre things that were completely different. In the end, we ordered some drinks and hastily left. We had noticed that it wasn't as busy as last time and we did not recognise staff, so we assumed the place had changed hands. Would NOT recommend ever coming here, it has really been let go.
