Just had lovely meal at Bank View cafe. Excellent vegan platter meal and then fruit crumble for dessert. Not often you get tasty vegan options but I really enjoyed my food. Service friendly and prompt. Very relaxed atmosphere.  Just what you need after a walk on Langsett Moor.

Having visited this cafe on many occasions we arrived today at 1.45 for a family meal. We were given a large table and menus to choose from, once our last family member arrived I went to order only to be told we are now not doing hot food from 2pm only cold sandwiches as we are wanting to close at 3. I looked at my phone it was 2.02
If this was the case Fine but why not tell us as we are shown our table or even prompted.
We left and went to the Wagon and Horses across the road. 
Poor service !

Fantastic cosy cafe excellent coffee. Some great food, particularly enjoyed the vegan platter,  but could do with a bit more choice. Dogs welcome, water provided.

Love visiting this cafe.... Their breakfasts are awesome! If it's nice, it's worth sitting outside in the grassed area
