Excellent. Genteel early 1900's tea room experience. Staff second to none. Black and white uniform; quality and experience second to none. Service never fails. Food served all day and early evening and same extensive menu throughout. Afternoon tea served all day, breakfast served all day. Try it, call in for tea or coffee you won't be disappointed. Shop on premises for bread, cakes, pastries, chocs and gifts and more. Ilkley open until tea time and Harrogate until 9pm.

Long queue for the tea room downstairs. I had wanted to book but didn't as it was £32 each and we only really wanted some tea, a sandwich and cake or scone. In the end we sat upstairs which was really nice, no queue and got served pretty quickly. We got a table right next to the huge picture windows and watched most of Yorkshire walk past outside. I had an open smoked salmon sandwich and Colin had soup of the day and a scone, so we pretty much got what we wanted after all. Food and pot of tea was all fresh and tasty and when they found out it was my birthday the staff brought a small cake with a candle which was a nice touch

Elegant place to eat. Lovely fish and chips. Don't forget the tartar sauce. The desserts are to die for too.

Very nice cakes, tea & good service but not worth nearly an hour waiting to be seated. Would abandon it after half an hour next time. We were taken in from outside after about 20 mins so thought we wouldn't be that long but then waited nearly half an hour inside!

It's Betty's, an institution but honestly there's better food available in other places. What we ate was a bit dry. Nice setting like.
