Reasonable service, well stocked bar, coffee not for my taste. Some ok rooms but several small rooms. Good location by Oulton Broad. Some rooms with great views. Good carvery but not much crackling and meat is a little lightly cooked for my taste. Very hard working, polite staff, nothing too much trouble.

Hotel set in a nice location near the river on one side, and a busy main road on the other side. Check-in was easy and hassle free. The room was clean and reasonably modern, but as it is an old building, the floorboards are very squeaky! The staff are friendly and helpful. Evening meal was poor, I had fish and chips which arrived quickly, maybe too quickly as the fish was very undercooked. After my meal, some other diners asked me about the fish, as they said there's was 'horrible', so it wasn't just my meal that was undercooked. Breakfast was very nice, a full English buffet style service with fruit cocktail, croissants and yoghurt for those who prefer a healthier start to the day. I would have given 4 stars, as generally a very nice hotel, but the evening meal let this down.

Nice to be upgraded to a room with a view over Oulton Broad. Clean warm room with a shower that was plenty hot enough at all times. Wall TV in the room made my neck ache as was placed too high for a small single. Tea and coffee making facilities in room, never enough products I have learnt to take extra with me, saves the hassle of going to get more. Help your self breakfast included in price of room. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. I have stayed in the past and would definitely stay there again. Good parking front and rear of the building. They advertise a service for weddings and have a large function room on the side of the main building

Booked here last minute as needed to stay overnight. Upon arrival, reception had all my details already to hand and prepped (booked online within the hour). You’d be surprised how long this takes other hotels to have your details ready. Reception explained all I needed to know, recommended nice places to eat that evening, decided to stay in and walk to the on site restaurant. Overall, great stay and will probably come back to the area and hotel for a visit.

Great carvery, tasty meats, lovely parsnips. Yorkshire's were a bit crispy but we're replenished just as we went to sit down. They had run out of Pepsi so Pepsi Max was the only option but didn't detract from a very good meal.
