I stayed here recently and i was disgusted at the experience. I booked a valentines experience for me and my partner. We have a three course meal which cost £64 and it was terrible. The mains were uneatable and the dessert was hardly touched. We had a room that was dusty and the toilet did not work. I complained and my complaint was dismissed, i was not given any money back and i would not recommend to anyone. The only good thing about the experience was the parking and the sea-view from the bedroom window.

Went for a family member's big milestone birthday Sunday 3 course set menu lunch at The Hotel Victoria. There was a small (but warm) function room for three round table (10 max no. of people per table). Nice view of the sea through the tall, large bay windows. Bar staff & waitress/waiters were friendly & polite - did not rush us: they waited for everyone to finish before clearing for next course. However the food quality fell below expectation. Especially disappointed with the Roast potatoes which were hard & dry and the desserts weren't as tasty as it looked! The Bar is quite small & on the day they ran out of Archers and not many options for non-alcoholic cocktails. Lack of wine knowledge by some staff when questioned. Not sure if it's just an "off day" for them? The building is old and walls are thin, but room are spacious with some having a lovely view of the sea. Also free car park (about 20 spaces) - be careful: entrance is accessed on a one way road.

Friendly and helpful staff with a relaxed atmosphere. The location is superb for the beach and local walks, the sea views are excellent. The breakfast staff always have a cheerful welcome which is a lovely start to the day. The food has never dissapointed, the rooms are well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Considering the age of the building, it is well presented and maintained. Having stayed here a few times, this is now one of my favourite places to take a short break.

Rooms are always clean, tidy and comfortable. Food never disappoints both evening and breakfast. Staff go the extra mile and are naturaly polite and friendly not forced. Owner/manager Adam very keen to make everything perfect - clearly proud of his establishment and staff. First class quality here... only thing you need to be aware of is that The Victoria is an old building that oozez character and the amazing sea views and garden also mean the odd squeaky floorboard. (It's got a modern lift) :)

Clean and comfortable. Quiet reception and bar area, ideal for a drink and conversation. Have eaten there a few times and found the food and service to be of a high standard.
