Fabulous building with great facilities, but the stand out part had to be the staff. Everyone we spoke to was super courteous and was able to help with our queries be it about the food they were serving, the facilities available or anything else. Not everything went as smoothly as we or they would have liked, but everything got sorted to everyone's satisfaction. I'd highly recommend Whatley Manor to anyone looking for a top end break away. We'll be back again that's for sure!

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary at the Manor recently. It was a very wonderful experience. The staff were discreet yet professional, friendly and helpful. The service standards is consistent throughout the establishment and the Manor is an absolutely lovely place. The only downside is the fact that there are far too much fabric and my nose allergy acted up. We had our dinners at both restaurants at the Manor - the food served were good.

Just had a three day break at Whatley, from arrival everything has been super. Friendly and efficient staff offer perfect service, comfortable room and good food in the patisserie. We hadn't been to Whatley for 20 years as we thought it was no longer going to be a place for us, suffice to say we are already planning another visit.

The spa is stunning, start off with a salt scrub then indulge in the wet rooms. With an indoor and heated outdoor pool, even great in winter when i went. The grounds are beautiful.

This was a surprise birthday trip from my Partner, so I knew nothing about it, wasn’t aware it existed before we arrived. It was fantastic from start to finish. Impressive gardens and buildings, sympathetically extended and refurbished. The staff were formal and friendly, always smart and well spoken. This was a hotel ran confidently by experienced and well trained staff. We had a suite, which was inside the main hotel. It was really quiet with no sounds invading from the corridor. Beautifully decorated, with heavy curtains, Smart lighting and a bed you can loose your partner in. The spa can be accessed for most of the day. We love spas. We’ve been to dozens. And this had taken the top spot. Clean, peaceful with a good range of experiences. Dyson hair dryers and soft fluffy towels. There’s some lovely touches such as multiple towel changes and tiny flannels to dry hands on in the bathrooms. Your time is not limited to how much you spend on the spa. This is a real bonus. The restaurants were not both open when we stayed (Monday and Tuesday) so we had both meals at the same restaurant. The food was remarkable. Each dish exceeded expectations and was a flavour burst of ecstasy on each bite. Each meal was beautiful. The hotel itself is lovingly and stylishly furnished. The open fires add layers of smoke to the years of polish on the panelled walls. Flag Stones and fresh flowers bring the outside in. Visiting in December meant that Christmas decorations were up. They were subtle but beautifully done. Around the whole hotel, be it the spa changing rooms, the stairs, breakfast room or your own hotel room. Top ratings for this hotel. It will be hard to beat next year.
