Excellent family run hotel. This was our second stay in 2 years. A continental breakfast was served between 8 and 9 o'clock on a tray , no idea you could get so much food on a tray , Excellent breakfast. We will be back next year for a short break .
Excellent location on the main costal promenade overlooking Firth of Lorne. Traditional Scottish interior; clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. And the view from our window was stunning. Highly recommended guest house, indeed.
There are several guest houses back to back along Corran Esplanade just 10 minutes walk north of Oban's town center. Wellpark was one of the recommendations from Rabbi's Tours. When we arrived, we were given a quick rundown of the house rules as it is more like a bed & breakfast than a regular hotel. We lugged our bags up the stairs and into very tiny, but cozy rooms. The room ambiance was definitely dated, but homely. The beds and pillows were comfy and supportive. All sheets and towels were perfectly clean. The bathrooms were super cramped but had recently been remodeled with new fixtures and flooring. Everything was spotless and worked perfectly. Hot water was ample. At night, everything was dead quiet and peaceful. The only issue I had was that the WiFi was painfully slow in our room. It ended up being a blessing, as I just spent more time outside enjoying Oban - one of the most tranquil, gorgeous towns I've traveled to. In the morning, there was a very nice breakfast provided. You could do a traditional Scottish breakfast, which is hearty and massive. Overall, I was very happy with our stay here.
From the moment we booked this over the phone we knew it was going to be good and we were not disappointed. We were able to check in from 12 which is a great plus when you are on the road early. Our room no 16 overlooked the water and the room was immaculate, some might prefer it to be slightly larger but it completely met our needs. The lounge is very comfortable and inviting again overlooking the water. Breakfast was varied and freshly cooked catering for everyone's needs. The staff are very friendly and Sharon and Eric are two of the nicest people we have met. It is in a great location nice walk into oban and car parking on site. We will definitely be back.
Very nice B&B, right on the Bay. Easy walking distance to the center of town and Ferry Terminal, where you can catch ferries to the Isle of Mull and other islands. Full morning breakfast, a sitting room, great views and well-equipped rooms make this a charming place to stay.
Lovely family run hotel beside the sea in Oban. Our room was small, but comfortable. The bathroom was quite small with the shower not providing much room for a larger person. The sink is in the bedroom on a higher than normal counter. No elevator.
I really like this place, it was quaint and cozy. Great host. Great breakfast and has a lovely view of the ocean from the lounging area. The only thing that was a bit annoying was from our bathroom you can hear the neighbors fan going in their bathroom every time they turned the lights on.
We stayed over the bank holiday weekend in a lovely room overlooking the water. Beautiful hotel in a wonderful position with a lovely host. Would recommend booking here.Rooms: 5/5
Spent a 3 Day stay here very nice room staff very friendly continental breakfast was excellent which includes a roll with egg and bacon . If going to Oban l would strongly recommend you use this b & b
Great value, cozy, well decorated & within walking distance to Oban restaurants and Dunstaffnage Castle, ruined 13th century castle of the MacDougall clan. Charming breakfast room, delicious food, nice waterfront views.
