My sister and I had a wonderful couple of night's stay at Sutherland House, Oban. The owner was very friendly and helpful regarding local knowledge re places to eat etc. We booked two single rooms which were spacious and immaculately clean. Location is great for the town and night strolls by the sea especially if one is fortunate enough to be Blessed with a beautiful sunset. It will certainly be top of my list when staying in Oban again.
We stayed here 4 years ago and returned this week for a couple of days stay. The host is really friendly and welcoming and with good advice on where to go and where to eat. The place and rooms are immaculate and comfortable and have everything you need. Great views and a great location, would recommend and we'll be going back when we get chance.
I loved my stay at Sutherland guest house, a great welcome and a nice clean room with nice coffee, tea & biscuits. It would be the place I book next time I'm in Oban after trialling a couple of guest housesRooms: 5/5
We enjoyed our stay and everything was perfect.. Great location for everything. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Lovely views over Oban Bay and towards the islands. Perfect 500 mts, flat walking to and from town also served by local buses. Many food n drinks places to visit. Well worth a jaunt.
Lovely house fantastically located. Right on the harbour. If you want a room overlooking the harbour I think you would have to ask when booking. The owner of the B&B we found very helpful and answered all our questions. Would definitely recommend.Rooms: 5/5
Excellent location not far to walk into town. It was very clean and modern and Robert the host was very helpful. A wee bit of noise from pub next door and traffic out the front so had to sleep with the window closed. Tea coffee and a hairdryer in the room. Nice big bed pillows not that comfortable just a personal issue. Towels got put side by side I like to keep mine seperate as OCD about towels.Would recommend.
Friendliest place ever! Robert in reception will help you in a kind and friendly way. The rooms are clean and the en suites are spotless and pretty new. The views from our room were unbeatable since we could see the entire harbour. Keep in mind that the area is very popular amongst motorcycle riders, so it can get a bit noisy, but i would definitely return here.
Brilliant hotel, friendly staff and amazing rooms. The host was absolutely lovely and helpful. Our room was spacious, cosy and impeccably clean. It had a stunning view of the bay. The hotel location is great - only a few minute walk away from the restaurants and shops. Breakfast isn't provided but it's not a problem as there's a huge choice of cafes and restaurants. The host will be more than happy to recommend good places to eat. Bear in mind that there's no free parking available. We'll definitely be back.
We had our stays here for our wedding anniversary trip. It's lovely with a great sea view, you have enough facilities in the room, the man who helped us check-in and check out is super friendly and helpful. He shows us where to get good food and tips. We will definitely come back again.
Very nice hotel, right opposite the sea front, spotlessly clean room, comfy beds and a good size en suite bathroom. Stayed for 2 nights 18th 19th September on our way home from a week's stay in Lochinver. We had a room at the back but you still had a view up the hill. Very nice to sit outside in the front garden enjoying the sunshine and views. Would definitely stay again when next in the area.
