Perfectly located; wonderful interior design and decor; very attentive owner; Highly recommended. Liked · Great location on the seafront. Loved the interior design of the rooms. Great views across the bay. Short walk to the centre. Host was friendly, available and helpful. Generous continental breakfast but guests will need to pay extra for that. We enjoyed the flexibility that offers. Disliked · The self check-in and registration was the only minor inconvenience. Walkability: 10-15 minutes walk to town centre, restaurants and urban area sights.
We have just returned from 2 day stay in Oban. We stayed at Alltavona and had a lovely time. Room 4 was a superb room with beautiful views over Oban bay. The room itself was large and very nicely decorated and with lovely furniture. The bed was large and very comfortable…..best sleep I have had when away from home. Continental breakfast was just perfect for us. Lots of choices of cold meat,salmon,cheeses fruit etc. Next time in Oban we will definitely book in here again. Walkability: Easy walk in to Oban central.

A wonderful location right on the water, with warm hospitality and beautiful rooms. This converterd victorian was adorned with local and adventurous elements that made you feel like home. Breakfast was outstanding, and the walk to and from the high street was wonderful!Rooms: 5/5
Stayed here 18th April 2023 whilst cycling the Caledonia Way. What a nice friendly welcome and lovely clean room. Safe bike storage. 5 mins flat walk along the prom to town centre. Great spacious modern shower, tea facilities etc. Very quiet and plenty of parking. Good value. Many thanks..C+G Rooms: Clean + Quiet Walkability: Easy 5 mins flat walk into town.
Stayed here with a tour group for a single night. The check in process was great and the hostess was wonderful with getting us all sorted. There is a key box in the front where the keys are stored and returned. The inside of the home was very nicely decorated. We stayed in room 8 that was on the top floor of three. The staircase was easy to get up. The room was great with tea, snacks, and drinks. Beds were very comfortable and ok for taller folks. Breakfast came up to our room in the morning which was coffee, toast and fruit.
Stayed for two nights. Received multiple emails about check in and facilities. Some contradictory some ended up in my junk email folder. That needs sorted. They serve, in their dining room a buffet breakfast which is cold but very good. Tea, coffee and toast is also available. Our room 5 has great views of the sea but is a little cramped but everything needed is there. I would stay there again.
Very authentic, old, fancy and great service level, breakfast delivered to our room in the morning or from the fridge in the room. Beds where amazing. Only downside from my point of view was that there was no shower, only a bath in our room. Also the handles for the sink and the toilet weren't working properly, but you can say its part of the old authentic feel :
This place is a gem. You will not find more welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. The room was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with the usual facilities including fridge and iron. The breakfast room enjoys lovely views across the bay. Defo a must-stay in the future.Rooms: 5/5
A very plain guest house - small rooms, modest breakfast, nothing to write home about. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a nice night with your partner. NOT a good value for money RESPONDING to the owner below as I cant comment directly - we stayed in the annex rooms on the night of the 26th of July, the reservation was under my wife's name.
