Convenient (and beautiful) location in Oban, but ask for a room in the main house

GOOD POINTS

Fascinating, typical big stone house, right overlooking Oban Bay and conveniently located for town centre and ferries.

The room was very well equipped.

MINUS POINTS

Unfortunately we had a room in the dependence, uncomfortable to reach because of the gravel, and (despite the full equipment) with much less charm of the main house.

Heating was very well working, but it was off when we arrived (with heavy rain weather).

Mattresses were a little bit hollow, and the bathroom ventilation for air exchange not controllable.

Breakfast (except for cooked food, that we didn’t taste): minimum required.

Welcome: efficient, yet not truly “warm” (but I guess it’s because generally guests just pass through here, instead of staying enough time…).

Second time we've stayed at Glenrigh. We've been visiting Oban for 30yrs and this is the best place we've stayed. Lovely people and stunning views. Main house is beautiful but recommend the annex house which is right next door. If you can book the front room, the view over Oban harbour is unbelievable.

Conveniently located. Warm rooms. Terrible water pressure. Breakfast was delicious.

Me and my partner had a lovely stay here . The owners are friendly and welcoming . Room was clean and we had a good night sleep . As for breakfast vary good . But if you want a sea view stay in main house we had a restricted view
