Walked in this morning and was booked in immediately and seen within 10 minutes. The lady doctor we saw was so polite, chatty and understanding. Thorough examination done, advice given along with a prescription. This is the first time I’ve used the centre and was sad to hear that it is closing in a couple of weeks as it’s really modern and set up beautifully inside and spotlessly clean. Looks like long waits up the Manor in future.
This is the second d time I have visited this place. The first time after waiting 2 and half hours I had to leave as I had no more change to top up the car park, now it is a Sunday afternoon & it states a one hour wait on reception desk. I have now been waiting one hour 45 mins with at least another 6 people in front of me. The doctors are taking ages between patients. Children screaming & running around. I am about yo walk out! It's not a place to come feeling unwell, no communication from staff st all!
Avoid. 3 doctors here misdiagnosed my daughter. Her symptoms got progessively worse from the when they appeared. Reception also tutted at me when I said I tried my doctor for an emergency appointment first-hand all slots had gone by 8.30am First time: Nothing wrong Second: Have some cough medicine. Third time: A cold. She actually had a persistent chest infection, and was off school for nearly a month. My doctor advised it had been made worse by not being diagnosed or treated properly. My new born went in, and they assessed the issue fine. Then noticed she had white in her mouth. She had just had a bottle. Nope, they diagnosed "oral thrush", common in babies. 2 doctors did this. Turns out, it was just milk. Yikes. I went in yesterday, an hour wait for myself. I can live with that. 2 hours later, I left. Pretty much every person waiting or who came in moaned to reception and magically got seen. Should've stood their ground and told them to wait. Go in only if you're desperate.
I can't see a GP but need a Dr. I researched Walsall urgent care and see the Saddler's Centre walk in is open till 8. Tried calling and got messages saying that Saddler's Centre is the new urgent care centre open till 8 but no answer. Drove to the centre at 4. It's shut. It has NHS logos but clearly hasn't been used for a long time. There are no signs to advise where to go so I research again. I see the urgent care department at the Manor Hospital and note the location near car park D. I arrive and am asked if I have an appointment. I explain that I'm here because I can't get an appointment and the web site tells me to come here. I am told no and directed to A and E, the place I have avoided going as I know they are under pressure. After waiting in A and E, I am then directed back to urgent care to wait again. The NHS in Walsall couldn't be more inefficient, un-user friendly and unclear about their services if they tried. Luckily I don't need to use them much but it's a painful experience. Quite frankly, shambolic.
Rubbish place got here 05/04 to be greeted at a glass window by a man who didn't even look at me till I said something to be told we are fully booked for today bearing in mind it was 7pm and they don't close till 8pm and only three people waiting to be told if its urgent go to A&E glad my National Insurance contributions are going a worth while cause and place like this why say your open till 8pm and then turn people away. Says for urgent NHS to go to this place wouldn't bother if I could give less then one star I would and the guy behind the glass screen needs to go on a customer service training cause as he lacks people skills especially when people are ill .
I had been extremely sick for just under a week. I could not go to work as I was so ill. I had severe migraine, my eyes felt like they were popping out, fever, shakes, and a terrible bark of a cough. I popped in and was seen sharply but I don't think I got the service I required, the doctor recommended that I take some vitamin c and that I will see an improvement! He said it was pointless having antibiotics because I would be well by the time they kick in. The next day I felt worse and managed to get an appointment with my GP. I told her that the walk-in centre doctor suggested vitamin c and she was shocked! My doctor saw how ill I was and correctly prescribed me steroids and antibiotics. The next day I was already on the mend. Please be very careful in this walk in centre as this is not the first time something like this has happened. I think it is appalling that you are mis-diagnosed like this!
I had to visit the walk in centre and it was very good. The doctor who I saw was excellent. The centre was very clean and the receptionists were very polite. The only complaint I have was that the children visiting the centre, were running around and shouting. Considering that this is a place where sick people go, the parents should try to keep they`re children quiet. There is a time and place when children can play, but not in a doctors surgery.
Usually waits last about an hour even for minor incidents, reception staff are quite monotone and see to treat people as numbers, however it is useful as a last resort. The doctors do as they're trained most of the time and have consideration for patients, unlike the other staff.
Visited the Walk in Centre as I couldn't get an appointment with my GP. I was seen within 20 minutes by a very nice Doctor who took the time to talk to me and was very helpful. It was a clean bright environment and i would be happy to visit again.
I took my daughter with tonsillitis and we was seen within 10 minutes, the doctor was lovely and she was prescribed antibiotics. He was very professional and gave us advice, we was out with a prescription within 20 minutes.
