From the moment I arrived at Walsall Manor Hospital I was impressed. It was easy to find a car parking space and paying on exit was ideal. The toilets were being cleaned and the lady doing this directed me to another toilet and even made sure I found it! I then asked another member of staff how to get to the Gynaecology Department and she escorted me to the reception area and was very personable and chatty on the way there. I arrived early and five members of staff checked I was ok and said good morning which was welcoming. The consultant called me in early and was an absolute pleasure to meet. She introduced herself, the nurse and a student accompanying them and checked I was ok with the young lady sitting in. It was an absolute pleasure to meet the consultant who went above and beyond to ensure I felt at ease and was extremely kind and supportive throughout the consultation experience. She is a complete professional. I am so impressed with the people who work at Walsall Manor Hospital. It was a privilege to attend and the care provided is second to none. The gynaecology department is run impeccably. Thank you to the whole team.
I picked up my kid from school with pain at the left chest and we are waiting in the emergency for around 3 hours now .nI asked the reception if this was normal and I was told yes, someone is waiting for 5 hours .nI have seen people getting put in from the side door and getting done in minutes.nWaist of time.nI am not upset with anyone, I just think the system is broken.nThe screen says 10 minutes.. what a joke.
Recently had a stay on Ward 23 Gynaecology. Every member of staff I dealt with before and during my stay was absolutely wonderful and so so kind. Couldn’t fault a single person.nOnly negative thing is the waiting times from my appointment to actual treatment. But it’s all hopefully sorted now for me and I’ll always remember how kind the staff were in this department.
17/04/24nA beautiful hospital. The car park is clean with clearly displayed signs. I saw maintenance workers litter picking outside which is nice to see. Pay when you leave the machines are by the entrance , very handy again clearly displayed. The receptionist was loverly and helpful. What I found really nice was for a hospital the colourful windows, nice and bright allowing the sun light in. The signs in the hospital are clear so you can easily find where you’re going with escalators and lifts which again is handy. There’s a spar, Costa everything you could need and a charity shop which was loverly to see I did pop in . All the staff were friendly and approachable. I really did have a positive experience there.
Rushed my sister to A&E last night after she fell roughly 10ft off a ladder hitting her head a few times in the process. We got triaged fairly quickly then told to wait in the waiting area. 5 minutes or so later the nurse came back into the waiting room to ask my sister if she was having any pain in her neck which she replied yes. Surely that would've been a question they should have asked straight away due to the nature of her injuries. A few minutes later we were called through and taken into majors, my sister still walking at this point. She was then put on a bed and had a headblock put on due to her neck pain whilst waiting for a scan. The Dr then came in and did a head to toe check to see if she had any pain anywhere completely disregarding her spine and not checking that until I mentioned it to him.nnThe nurse that was looking after my sister in majors was lovely and she was doing a very great job always coming in to check on us and doing blood tests, ecgs and blood pressure before taking us around to the CT area and she was answering any questions we had.nnMy sister got super lucky that the extent of her injuries were minor abrasions on her legs but it could have been a completely different outcome if she did have any neck or spinal injuries due to the negligence to check on those straight away.nnWould be 1 star but the Majors nurse was excellent.
