Yes this is a very good cinema with cheaper tickets that most and I can recall visiting here with a friend that I used to visit fir a day trip in Sheffield when the friend was able to go out and they enjoyed it too and they were never keen cinema goer like myself so their thumbs up was a bit of an extra plus sign. Staff friendly and reasonably well informed of the movie s to help one decide what to view.
The only reason I can fault Vue, especially Vue Meadowhall, is because of the website often failing to process tickets, and the obvious markup on food and drink when bought at the ticket desk. I recommend bringing your own food and drink if you'd like it, and trying to buy tickets in advance when the website will let you!! But other than that, it's always clean and friendly, and the staff have always been helpful in resolving any seating disputes in a timely and polite manner.
A great place for an evening out in conjunction with the many nearby Meadowhall restaurants. You MUST book online to benefit from their amazingly low ticket prices about £5 each, otherwise they cost considerably more. We go about once a month and have never been disappointed.
Vue Cinema inside Medowhall shopping centre. Great location inside, right next to the Oasis food court, so you can grab something to eat before or after your film. All the usual fast foods are there plus additional options to cater for all tastes and wallets, if you fancy something a little more upmarket. If you don't like shopping then book yourself into a film while the others go shopping. All films were £4.99 all day every day on this visit. Staff were well presented, pleasant and polite. Lifts are available to the screens if required. Booking the tickets was easy via their website, literally 5 mins. Pick your film, time you want to watch it. Choose the number of tickets, choose where you want to sit. Pay as a guest using PayPal, cards or Google pay. You get the confirmation email with all your ticket details. You can even save the tickets to your Google pay app. This is so much better than getting in a queue and paying by card/cash. Turn up at the venue and use one of the touch screens to print your tickets out and show it to the staff who direct you to your screen. Seating Isles are lit up alphabetically and seat numbers are easy to see. Update: Went again in July 2022, screen 6 and most of the Isle lights were not working on this occasion Sound and vision was very good, disabled seating and VIP seating is also available. For VIP there is an additional cost you can opt for when booking your tickets. Give this review a thumbs up if you think it is helpful.
There's better cinemas in Sheffield. Tacky chairs and unclear small screen. It all feels old in need of modernisation. I strongly advise not to buy the saver seat tickets as you'll struggle to see the screen with any comfort, a real pain in the neck forcing you to literally look up. If you want decent seats I'd recommend The Light Cinema which offer a spacious area with very comfortable recliners. My stars go to the team members who are very efficient and friendly.
The online website was not working so we bought the ticket there itself and it was more expensive and most good seats were already booked by then. We usually sit at the front, but it is advised not to in this one since the screen is way too close. Mid-rows seem better. Nice experience but would still prefer going elsewhere next time.
The cinema is OK. Got vip seats and to be honest you might as well go with normal seats, they aren't much if any better. The food is always over priced so didn't buy any. Did get a cup of tea, wouldn't again! The film was good. The experience of watching it at a cinema, or at least this one, was not that good. Lastly the toilets were disgusting.
What the hell is going on when in 2022 you can’t just simply book a wheelchair space and 3 additional seats next to the wheelchair space in this cinema????? I’ve been trying to book 1 adult and 3 children 1 being in a wheelchair but it doesn’t allow me too!!! Also why is the lift still out of order??? This was out of order in August we’re now in October and still it’s out of order. Get your act together it’s 2022 for gods sake
Pre purchased my tickets so just had to collect them when I got there from the machines, there are 3, but 1 wasn't working. Not my favorite cinema, pay more for VIP seats. They are horrible. Anybody in front of you on normal seats leans back and your extra leg room has gone. They're not very comfy. Gave me back ache, made me sweat, had to keep leaning forward to cool off. This time we had bit cheaper seats. They were better than VIP ones. More comfy but still got a bit sweaty. Food and drink are expensive, ice cream is scandalous for how much you get. Take your own things if you can. Toilets are not perfect need modernising, should be like the ones in Meadowhall, no touch points. I think it just needs modernising. Enjoyed film. Was glad to get out and walk around after the movie.
Good value. Sound and picture is good but not as good as big screens at some other cinemas. Popcorn and drink cost more that all our tickets
