Located at The Moor in Sheffield city centre, The Light Cinema aims to provide a unique entertainment experience, a friendly relaxed environment that offers excellent customer service and value for money. The Light Cinema is an 9 screen cinema delivering incredible 2D and 3D visuals with state of the art digital picture and sound auditorium.

VIP luxury seating: every seat is our largest ever, extra wide, reclining with a table as standard to ensure you will always have the best seat in the house.

Featuring the latest in blockbusters, independent and international films, plus the best live opera, ballet, theatre and pop concerts from around the globe. Including Royal Opera House, National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company.

The Light is more than just a cinema: it is a social hub for the Sheffield community. Our comfortable licensed cafe bar is a great place to meet friends before or after the movie or simply enjoy a coffee, light snack, glass of wine or a beer. All our screens are fully licensed, so you can enjoy a drink while watching the movie.

This is a fantastic cinema! The quality is evident as soon as you walk in the door, with friendly staff and clear signposting. As a 6'2 man, other cinemas in the last have been very cramped, causing me to potentially not enjoy a film as much. HOWEVER! Here, there is mountains of legroom as standard, without needing to request seats specifically designed as such. This was to the point that my legs were fully stretched out with room to spare! The seats themselves are very comfortable and they all recline. The food in the cinema is a little pricey, but not in excess of any other cinema chain. On top of all that, the tickets are extremely reasonably priced. Overall, this is an excellent cinema that I would recommend to anyone and everyone! A jewel in the heart of Sheffield!

Visited Light for the first time and was greatly impressed. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Prices for refreshments is reasonable and it also serves alcohol which can be taken in to screenings. The screens themselves are excellent with good lighting pre-screening and the seating is excellent. All chairs recline and have space for placing drinks and food. The leg room is extensive with enough room for others to comfortably walk past you without pulling in your legs.

Great place to be! Great location down the Moor, with friendly and welcoming staff. Very nice decor and great assortment of snacks. For a taller person, like me (6 foot 4) the amount of space and legroom in the screening rooms has been a Godsend. Definitely my first choice for whenever I look at seeing a film.

The best cinema in Sheffield. The seats recline and are very comfy. The screen sizes and quality are very impressive. Just a shame that it also doesn't offer the 2 for 1 deals on cinema tickets which other cinemas offer.

Comfy seats. Loadsa' leg room. Great deal on local parking... Only negative is the amount of ice they put in your drinks. Last few times once paid for a medium drink, it's pretty much just a cup of ice, with a bit of soft drink.. Would be 5 stars if this was sorted
