Had a Hotel like experience. The staff and students were very friendly. It was a neat and quiet place with a beautiful surrounding and giving an easy access to important places in London. It was maintained well and even the food was excess with variety. The automation in the hall was also great
The rooms are pretty basic like one might expect from what basically is student housing, but they are clean and comfortable enough with a private bathroom when chosen such a room type. The main feature is its very convenient location, in a very quiet environment about a 15-20 min walk to Trafalgar Square and less than 30 min walk from the main attractions at the east end of the Thames parliament, Westminster Abbey, Eye, strolling around the south bank, Soho, theaters, etc. The closest underground however is about 10 to 15 minutes away, which meant that we chose to explore London fully by foot from College Hall. The rooms have very affordable and reasonable prices, certainly given the location in London. Breakfast is included and is actually very good with many options ranging from full English to sweet pastries, fruit, yoghurt etc. I would stay here again.
Great students accommodations clean and very well designed. Own bathroom and lovely staff. Easy to get to and shop are close. Busy area
For the location, this is cheap housing. The breakfasts were enormous if you wanted that, the accomodations were a step or two above basic, but we are talking university student dorm style ... Some rooms have private bathrooms, but there are a lot that share a bathroom on the floor. The pantries on each floor provided a kettle, a fridge, a microwave and an ironing board. Lots of different kind of eating withing walking distance, and you are close to busses and underground stops. Right in the heart of London
I live here, and it has been the worst decision I have made for my first year of university. The only good thing about it is the location. The reception staff are extremely rude, except for Johnny he is very nice and the security is insane. They shout at you if you don't show your ID, and I got told off like I was a child by the receptionist simply because I forgot to sign in my friend. I told him he would just come in for a minute to pick up his stuff and he threatened to report me. The food here is also appalling and basically inedible worse if you're vegetarian, and someone found mould in their yoghurt. You also get no kitchen, just a tiny pantry with a microwave, no toaster, so I have basically almost been starving myself all year. The kitchen staff are very rude except for one or two. The lifts don't ever work, neither do the laundry machines. There are malfunctions constantly, and there were about 4 days while it was SNOWING that we had absolutely no heating! I needed to let anyone know who is thinking of coming here DONT DO IT. Worst decision ever.
I lived here for a year in my second year of undergrad and I absolutely loved it. The rooms have everything you need in a student accommodation - a huge desk, nice en-suite bathroom, bed and adequate storage space. The breakfast and dinner served are good and there are always enough options. The location is unbeatable - Malet street is quiet and yet very central - close to UCL, LSE and King's, as well as to King's cross, Russel Square and TCR. Most of the staff are lovely - Johnny at the reception is the friendliest and most welcoming person!
Reception is very rude and impatient, it is like you owing them money even though you paying the accommodation fees and they will complain, sometimes yelling at you, simply because you didn’t write your room number in your parcel. Heaters and elevators are always unavailable, one of the two elevator this year is only functional for about two months without exaggeration. If your heater and hot water supply are unluckily broken during weekends, you have to wait until Monday. Foods are unbelievably terrible and there’re rats in the dining hall. Staffs will break into your room without notice ahead. The only advantage is the location and the relative cheaper price. These are my friends sincere advice. Please please please don’t come if you have similar opinions.
I live here. The receptionist staff are extremely rude and authoritative except for a few. The elevators always run out of service, heating in the room and shower malfunctions frequently and there is no insulation on the windows at all. Food is terrible as well and the canteen staff are also rude. DONT STAY HERE AT ALL COSTS
It was a good stay in a very nice location. The breakfast was good, the rooms clean. On the other hand the staircases were away far from the elevators and the elevators were slow and sometimes taking you the wrong direction. I also wanted to get a tea one night and couldn't. The rooms were not equipped with kettles. The pantries were, but there were no cups and no tea..
We weren't sure what to expect but we found it to be an excellent place in the heart of London and very close to most attractions. The rooms were very clean and tidy and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we want to say a big thanks to Valentine and Alice, you guys were great. We will be back!
