SoHostel is based in the West End - the heart of London.

Story

SoHostel is London’s newest and most central hostel for travellers seeking comfortable but affordable accommodation in the heart of the action. Located next door, our brand new Coffee Club serves coffee just how you like it, breakfast, sandwiches, hot food, caked and snacks.

The hostel is owned and managed by One Housing, a large not-for-profit organisation that houses and cares for thousands of people across London and the South East. Opened in November 2104 following a major refurbishment, we offer stylish, clean and secure accommodation for single travellers, couples and groups. As well as bright, contemporary décor with a fun feel, we have a spacious bar-lounge and large reception area for you to relax, meet up with friends and make new ones!

Most importantly of all, we’re right in the middle of Soho – home to some of London’s best restaurants, bars, nightclubs, cinemas and music venues. We have great shopping on our doorstep too with Oxford Street around the corner and Covent Garden just over 10 minutes’ walk away. Why spend your holiday time and hard-earned cash on tubes, buses and taxis when you can stay in the heart of the action!

When you sleep at SoHostel you’re also helping homeless people have a safe and secure night’s sleep too because our profits are used to help and support residents at Arlington, the famous hostel for homeless people in Camden.

Excellent location for walking around the city, also perfect for all the clubs in the surrounding area for nightlife. Very nice and helpful staff. Very clean toilets, as well as the whole structure, which is fundamental. I stayed in a mixed room for 8, with the essentials present and a cage to store under the bed for personal items. To be absolutely recommended for cleanliness and location. I'll be back!
A very nice hostel. The location is perfect - right in the center of Soho. The rooms are clean, quiet. The beds are comfortable enough to sleep well after a party. We liked the lobby. We had some minor issue with the elevator, but the staff solved the problem perfectly. I would definitely recommend this hostel.Rooms: 5/5
Awesome hostel, very nice and kind staff. The security is superb and so is the infrastructure. The bathrooms even if they call it shared are private only one person per time and the location is terrific. The bar downstairs is cool with good and affordable pints they even have happy hours and weekends promotions with a kitchen. The breakfast is good and with nice options for a small price. Accepts credit cards.
I recently stayed here during my short time in London and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff is friendly and made me feel welcome. I even had some thought provoking conversations and laugh with some of the staff. I slept in a 6-person mixed room with an en-suite bathroom. The accommodations were nice and always clean. The food was good Big ups to Dex, the evening chef. For the price and location, this place is hands down my favorite place! I will most definitely be going back when I return to London. They also have a ton of events that guest can sign up for from Pub Crawls, Walking Tours, and various other tourist things. I'm truly going to miss Stewart, Hazel, Val, Marta, Lou, and the rest of the staff that made my stay so enjoyable.
Pros. Very central, very cheap, clean and staff are very polite. Cons. So noisy, the floors crack so you hear every person passing on the corridor, the door in the bedroom sounds like in the horror movies and the bed sounds too I won't talk about the works on the building nearby because it's not their fault. My dormitory was 6bed only female and was only 1-3 ppl, I was lucky.
The price is good. They have the best location and they serve a relative cheap continental breakfast. The prices at the bar were fine compared to the rest of the city. They have laundry £4.5 for washing machine, dryer and soap. My biggest problem was with the rooms, they are so small that when it is full, the people and their bags do not fit well at all. Also the structure of the bunks is made of a material very, very noisy and they quake a lot when you are trying to move. The bathrooms are OK.
Huge hostel, circa 300 beds. You get what you paid. Breakfast is nice, except for the coffee.Some of the showers had bad maintenance, doors not closing or was not possible to change the water temperature. Ventilation in the corridors is missing. The staff is friendly and helpful! That's a plus.
The location is good but the hostel feels old and dirty, no windows in the shared areas, towels are extra charge, coffee is really bad. You have to ring for the door to be opened but they never hear it. The rooms are the opposite of soundproof and no socket in the upper beds. Will not recommend.
Very nice location and friendly staff. The room 4 bed dorm was on the small side, but clean, and the bed was very comfortable and the duvet of good quality. Loved the common pamper room with makeup mirrors and hairdryers! Every hostel should have one. Price was good for such a central location.
Been here for a week. Very clean, higher end furniture and doesn’t feel dirty at all. Staff constantly cleaning too, it was a great experience. I stayed in the 8 person room, most guests were super respectful. I highly recommend ear plugs and a face mask though
