Excellent place to experience England, if you are visiting or local. Great and friendly service with nice choice of beers. The black pudding appetizer was awesome and the sausage and mash was excellent.
Went for Sunday roast lunch. Good place for families, dogs are also allowed. Food is good.
Good variety of food, steak burger was tasty. Chips are good. Would prefer condiments on the table - I wasn't keen that there was a large bowl of ketchup in the fridge that got spooned into smaller bowls for customers. Nice atmosphere
Been here years ago round 2014 and customer service was horrible and food fish n chips so much so we didn't go back for years mainly due to there response, had some friends come up around covid time had the takeaway Sunday dinner only option at the time plus was close by and it was lovely best we had plenty gravy etc as well. Been a few more times for drinks always been nice and service has been friendly. Started to go there more frequently and will give them a try on normal menu but so far 100% improvement and definitely recommend it.
Lovely place, never visited the area before, great choices, food, drink and helpful staff. Enjoyed my visit.
Food is generally nice enough! However I ordered the “home made steak burger’ which I specifically asked the lady if it was home made which she replied “ yes” When it came it just looked like a birdseye frozen burger and tasted like one too! When I questioned the staff again about it being home made she then replied that it was locally sourced feed that was pressed by a butcher and sent to them…. But still insisting it was home made I normally wouldn’t write a review but I think £15.95 for such a low quality tiny burger is a bit to much. The fries were decent though!
Lovely pub, fab atmosphere and dog friendly. Lots of doggie treats on offer.
Always reliable for good quality food. Pricing is on the high side for what is essentially pub food. I keep going back so I must find it reasonable value for the money. They have quite a large outdoor area which is great in Summer.
Went here for lunch with my son. We both had the steak burger, we couldn't fault it. Served with skin on fries, home made onion rings and coleslaw. For someone to say on their review the burger was small is certainly wrong. Staff really pleasant and friendly.
Completely unexpected. Friendly, nice clean atmosphere, brilliant decor and use of original features. Comfortable, spacious, nicely developed. But the important part- food was great. Will definitely go back.
