Story

Within 72 acres of private grounds, the 80 bedroom Tregenna Castle Hotel - with its choice of restaurants and bars, indoor heated pools, fully equipped gym, hair and beauty salons and a challenging par 3 - 18 hole links golf course with the most fantastic panoramic views over St. Ives and the Cornish Coastline - is just the beginning of the story.

72 luxury cottages and apartments - from brand new to beautifully converted barns, stables, dairy and farm buildings - and 8 magnificent pole lodges are
available all year round for both short and long letting. Many enjoy sea views and sub tropical private gardens.

Both our outdoor and indoor pools are heated and have separate children’s swimming areas. The outdoor pool has beautiful views over St Ives bay while the indoor pool benefits from climate and humidity control, floodlighting and seating with poolside canopies. Other activities on offer include a fully equipped gym with qualified staff, tennis, squash, badminton, table tennis, croquet and putting. If that’s all a bit too energetic ... relax in our Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room ... or pamper yourself in our hair and beauty salon.

Our Castle Kids is one of the first nurseries in Cornwall to achieve the outstanding status in every category under new inspection criteria, and is the latest fully Ofsted registered day care facility to open in St Ives.

We stayed on a 2-night off-peak deal which made it very affordable. We were very impressed by the lovely room, food, staff, location and spa/pool facilities! There was a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of space. It's a short walk into St Ives from the hotel - took us about ten minutes. Uphill on the way back, so would maybe suggest a bus/taxi for those who find hills challenging. Overall a fantastic holiday base, we will be returning!

Staff went out their way to assist with all aspects - brought the all important forgotten hair conditioner (for the wife). Weather was awful so decided on take away in the room and reception provided plates and cutlery. Breakfast was good - talk of the breakfast room was having to put bread through toaster twice for it be called 'toast' - if that is the top talking point then hotel have done very well. Pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room excellent too. Very comfy beds. If I had to bring up one less than excellent point 'the hallways were exceptionally warm (hot). Overall superb value and experience

Fantastic historic building a very short walk from St Ives. It overlooks Porthminster Beach. Beautiful decor and atmosphere. Breakfast was buffet style and delicious. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely return 👍

Beautiful building located in stunning grounds & overall a nice hotel. Some rooms have sea views. However, little touches need improving. The pillows are too flimsy and do not support your neck. The only powerpoints in our room were nowhere near the bed. The worst thing however was the behaviour of the restaurant manager. He was very impatient & twitchy about turnaround times. He was issuing glares to our fellow wedding guests who remained at their tables too long after their coffees were served & was exactly the same at breakfast. He came up to tables and basically told everyone they had to leave. He needs to learn patience & some people skills. The hotel reception staff as a contrast, were lovely.

Very well placed for walking into town. Nice grounds. Friendly and very helpful staff. The rooms are beginning to need a makeover, but I would go again without hesitation.
