I booked a block of training sessions with Will when me and my family were on holiday in Cornwall. Seems crazy huh, going on holiday and still training, but I'd made huge progress at my local gym that I didn't want to lose the momentum or go backwards in my fitness. I came across Will through a google search and I'm so glad I did. His training style is motivating and encouraging and his knowledge and skill is spot on. He helped improve my form as well as introduced me to some other training techniques, and gave me advice about better shoes to train in, and I increased some of my weights which is always a plus! We're heading to Cornwall again next summer and I'll certainly book in with him again!

I have been training with Will and the Empirical Fitness Team for just over a year. It's great as it is all-round fitness: strengthening, conditioning and cardio. I can notice a change feeling fitter I have more energy and have toned up. I have even been inspired enough to enter 10k running races! Can't recommend enough a very friendly, welcoming feel and Will adapts sessions to fit all levels of fitness!

I started training with Will about a year ago, barely able to string 10 push ups together, in this time he has encouraged and shown commitment not only to what he does but to all that attend his sessions. I would recommend his bootcamp and PT sessions to everyone who wants to get fit and with his RM background he will not fail to make that happen!! Will provides professional training that is not only extremely effective but fun and makes you want to keep going back. He tailors all aspects of a session to meet everybody's individual requirements so it doesn't matter who you are, there's no excuse not to go!

William will show you what it means to toss tractor tyres and sling kettle bells. Friendship, beard, LEGS and pain are the key elements to the success of the man that is empirical fitness and it is quite frankly impossible to review his bootcamp highly enough. He will redefine the words ache, stretch, exhaustion, "I need to vomit" and will power, and you might even find out what empirical means...remember, there's always time for a bicep curl. Come on down and beat the belly.

Bootcamp has made a huge improvement to my fitness levels since I started almost a year ago, I have always had a dream of joining the likes of Will in becoming a Royal Marine Commando and the last year has provided me with the motivation and fitness levels to hopefully pass the required tests and course in which I will be completing in the very near future. Last year I was suffering from an injury to my shoulder when I started attending the Bootcamp sessions. Will provided me with a variety of exercises in which would help my shoulders mobility, also he gave me alternative exercises to do during the circuit if i was unable to do any. Before long my shoulder was back to normal. The bootcamp sessions are improving week in, week out, he is constantly adding new kit to his arsenal, from a variety of Kettle Bells, to a Rowing machine. When I started Bootcamp there were two sessions available a week, since then he has added a further five at varying times to allow everyone who truly wants it, to pursue their fitness and health goals. The early morning sessions provide a quick and hard circuit to truly prepare you for your day, although they are only half an hour long, they are by no means easy! The evening sessions which last an hour normally finish with the circuit, but start with some strength training, most often with the kettle bells or bar bells and Will provides great in depth instructions on how to use the equipment appropriately to ensure no injures occur. Wether you’re a newbie or veteran he will allows provide you ways to improve your technique. There is also a great social aspect to the Bootcamp sessions and everyone who goes works with each other to improve. One thing I have noticed myself with Bootcamp is that I work a lot harder in them than I would normally in the gym, no matter how fit or unfit you are everyone is constantly pushing one another, whether that’s because you’re in competition with another group, in competition with your partner, or in competition with yourself, you never come away from a session feeling like you haven't worked hard enough (unless you come with the attitude that just because you’re there you’ll instantly become fitter). One thing I would advise is to buy a membership after your first session (if you enjoy it that is) this not only means you can attend as many sessions you like during the month, but also motivates you to attend as many sessions as possible and before long instead of being proud of attending, you’ll be annoyed when you miss one, and like they say ‘consistency is the key to success’. Hopefully in a month or so I can update this review with some good news of me starting recruit training and show you how much Will has helped me in pursuing my dream.
