The cosy retreat is situated just up the road from Carbis Bay Hotel, Spa & Estate in the heart of Carbis Bay. The quirky building accommodates a range of gorgeous stylish and unique rooms. If you’re a Hungry Gannet, the restaurant offers hearty home-cooked dishes, and for Thirsty Gannets, has a range of specially selected wines and local ales served with traditional Cornish hospitality.

Each room has its own unique identity and feel, with bold décor and signature interiors. Rooms vary from ‘Cosy’, ‘Quirky’, ‘Family’ or the ‘Spot the Gannet’ rooms with stunning sea views. Try the ‘Oystercatcher’, ‘Chough’ or ‘Kittiwake’ rooms and find your favourite! A very good choice on the menu and well staffed. I was also impressed with the choice from the drinks list. Everything was reasonably priced, although I do feel that puddings are way more pricey in recent times across a lot of places. But, I'd reiterate that I enjoyed the restaurant snd would recommend.
Visited this Restaurant in May 2024 with my wife and Father in Law and we were greeted by friendly, welcoming and polite professional staff. Service was excellent and the food delicious. Pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes too.Service: 5/5
I would like to thank everyone at the Gannet Inn for your world-class service, luxury decor and sensational foods. Every time I've visited I feel more at home than my own home! This is a favourite hotel, out of everywhere in the world. All staff are outstanding.Rooms: 5/5
Charmaine on reception gave us a very friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble to make the best out of our stay. Lovely cozy atmosphere in the hotel. Spa at the Carbis Bay Hotel was fabulous. Stunning views and relaxing treatments. Highly recommended, will definitely be booking again Rooms: Spotlessly clean , tasteful decor and comfortable beds. Food & drinks: Restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, great food and service.
We didn't stay in the hotel but we went for food as we were staying in the local area. We were hooked in by the pie and pud night and it did not disappoint. Excellent pies with a generous portion of mash, veg and gravy to accompany. The pud was included in the price of £18.50 and it was delicious. Service was excellent! Well worth a visit if you are in Carbis bay and want a nice pub to eat at. Food & drinks: Great pie and pud. Great selection of ales.
Superb evening with friends. Served by Helen who was very attentive. Meals were superb, I don't think I've ever been so full with such delicious food. Highly recommended.Service: 5/5

Just come back after 1 night stay. Food lovely but just don’t stay there! On arrival got told I’ve been given an upgrade, off we walk to another building to be given a room not at the hotel. The room was so hot that during the night my wife nearly fainted! No water available and the water from the taps wasn’t great! Trying to get to sleep at night was near on impossible as our room was above the pub which we were told finished last orders at 11pm. Noise didn’t finish until 2am! Before I tried to get to sleep the alarm monitor had a flashing light I might as well of slept at Heathrow airport.!!!! On check out and informing the receptionist they didn’t seem bothered whatsoever, what was quite funny was being told they have had other complaints like this with that room but if I told them they would of given us blue tac to cover the light! AVOID ! The don’t seem bothered when you give them feedback!
Cosy restaurant, nice food. Quick service. Went for valentines dinner and would have liked more candles and a better selection of puddings for real romance! Excellent seafood linguine though. Thank you.Service: 5/5
