I am really disappointed to see thar some reviews people have said this is a 2 star hotel.nThere are crazy ilford travelodge is the best hotel in east london for me its 5 star.nThe service we get every time is the best. We always come to this hotel and without a blink we get everything' we asks for . The location is the best 5 mins away from the station shops near by.nRooms are always clean. And the staff especially these guys are what hotels are made off. Starting with lira running the place with a special mention to sabrina,tammy, emannuela, amit, shadab, adriano, alina, ashif. Giffty.nnThank You so much and more if i cant remember all the names but thank you all for you guys who make this travelling enjoyable. Positives. Good location, walking distance to shops, restaurants and underground station. Has a car park next to It which is very reasonably priced. £8 a day. Reasonably comfy bed. Budget friendly hotel.nNegatives. The hotel overall is basic. The reception area doesn't have a seating area for guests. Due to the hotel being next to a busy main road. It Is quite noisy. No lobby. Service is poor. When checking in, I buzzed reception many times to let me in, waited over 5 minutes, but no response. Had to call the hotel instead by phone
If you value sleep - don’t bother. On my second night of constant banging to the extent that my room is shaking, loud talking in hallways, hearing doors slam incessantly. 0 soundproofing in this building, its unbelievable. The lady on reception last night was kind enough to offer to go and speak to the room above me and ask them to keep it down after hours of what sounded like a kid sprinting up and down the hallways, seemed to quieten down after that about 11:30pm.nnCouldn’t figure out what the huge thumping noise was both nights, till I rang reception again today to ask if I could please be moved. Was told it was fully booked fair enough but also was told that there’s apparently a gym on the floor below and that’s probably what all the banging noises are. Gym apparently closes at 10, but no, still hearing constant noises from what seems to be the room or floor above me. Again, sounds like a kid running around.nnSo at the very least, try and avoid the 2nd floor if you stay here and hope you don’t have inconsiderate neighbours. Only giving it 2 stars cos the staff are apologetic and the transport links are good. Looking forward to driving home exhausted tomorrow!
Stayed here for a week long trip to do some sight seeing and attend a concert. It's in a good place about 10mins walk from the underground station. The room we had was very spacious and the bed was comfy. There's plenty of places to get food and drink within walking distance and you can even order food into the hotel if you want to.
