Disgusting place to stay even for 1 hour! The place was smelling of mould. Cleaners left the window wide open before we checked in. We closed it and put the heating on before we came back after dinner. Once we returned to the room, it had a musky smell. By morning it was so bad, we checked out very early. My bag and clothes smelled of mould when i came back to my home it was disgusting. I would not recommend anyone to book this Travelodge, it was not worth £100. The carpet was also wet and there were visible mould spores in the bathroom on the walls, curtain and the bathtub see photos. Near the toilet, the liner was pulling away from the wall and ants can be seen crawling inside. The staff at the reception told me “there are no ants at this time of year”! November this hotel is surrounded by trees and bushes of course there will be ants, they don’t just die because it’s winter, it was hilarious and ridiculous that she said that.

Location is good and the rooms are priced reasonably. However,  the rooms were not cleaned regularly I was told by a cleaning staff that they are to clean every 6/7 days and were only meant to top up toiletries. The shower was also fixed at the top making it difficult yo have a proper shower let alone show for little kids.

Read some of the reviews and was a bit worried about going here! We got there on a Friday night & Manged to park car in small car park, rooms we ok & cleanish only let down was the breakfast on the go so was a cold breakfast,  shame they couldn't sort something with the pub next door to do a hot brekkie!!Rooms: 3/5

Room services were not done, kettle was too dirty. My luggage was thrown out of room and My Gold Items were missing. Reported at reception for no cups in the room for children tea, they were very rude.Rooms: 1/5

Not far from accessible public transport and amenities. Room services are not upto mark, no wifi. You have to pay extra for wifi. Parking is pay and display. No free parking for hotel occupants. Parking is by luck. Not many spaces to park.Rooms: 4/5

Was very dirty, a literal toenail on the floor beside the bed and an Unidentified brown substance on the bathroom wall, rooms looked like they had never been cleaned and some of the lights didn’t work, also lighting was so bad for doing makeup was very disappointing because I looked like a rat all weekend in London oh well it was close to tube station and felt safe at night although when we told people we were staying in Ilford they were concerned for our safety

Mostly happy with our 3 nights stay in this hotel. A few issues but all sorted by the staff. 1st room was clean, but lack of pillows and towels, front desk staff sorted that for us but then we realised none of the sockets were working, so we have been given a different room. Room was clean and comfortable, quiet and not too far away from the underground. Restaurants and sainsbury close enough as well. We would come again tbh

Now don't get me wrong, the staff were lovely and the location is great. I have no issue with either of these. However, the rooms and hotel are so run down it let's the experience down. It's dirty and dusty all over, marks all over the walls. Rust in the bathroom and a non pleasant smell just all round. It was an OK experience with everything working in our room. It just wasn't very clean, the bathrooms are just awful with stains and rust every where. The banister up and down the stairs in the main hall way was covered in dust and had a sticky substance on it. Overall, I would stay there again if I knew it had a make over !

Im sorry to say, this place needs a good and serious upgrade! Felt like walking in an old gp surgery. Sink block, weird smell in the room, i left the windows open, that did not help, used some air freshener. Parking issues. The smoking area just outside the reception needs to be moved little away as you can even smell people smoking weed. I was with family and it was just not good. I booked in by having the faith in the name of Travelodge and i think that faith is now little shattered. Staff were very helpful and kind but there is nothing they can do much about the mess. I hope the concerned person may read this and try to sort it out. It was not cheap either, I am gutted to have booked in there and wasted my money. Was not worth at all.
