Unfortunately I HAVE to give the room at least 1 star, it's lucky.nWe were in the top floor, coming out the elevator you navigate around the tray catching the drips from the leak that's hidden somewhere in the damp ceiling and walls. The walls are mouldy and breaking away.nnWe then made our way to our room, past the sealed up door, with a sign telling people not to enter. Goodness only knows, when I say sealed, I mean the bottom of the door is taped sealed shut in this once room.nnFinally in our room along the dirtiest floors I've seen in a hotel. Inside the room the window was open, which I presumed was to air the room. No it's due to it being broken and the closing mechanism buckled and wouldn't close. So the window was left open all night.nNot to worry, we'll just head straight to bed for our early flight in the morning and watch some TV. No chance the TV is clearly ornamental, as there is no Ariel attached , so no TV either.nWithout a doubt the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Complaints will be made.
Functional yet expensive at £179/night for a Thursday. Beds good, shower fine, TV tiny, no soap in dispenser by sink, USB port on one side of bed broken. Lady at reception very nice. Think £80 would have been ample.
Nice location not far from shopping center with ALOT of shops! Facilities and utilities work fine and the room was clean and cozy when we arrived.nnOverall, a nice place to stay.
This is such a great travel lodge.nReally handy for getting in and out if Edinburgh as buses run to and from the Arthur Glenn shopping mall and outlet mall next door.nAlso there's plenty of places to eat whether it's in Tony Macaroons on the ground floor or in one of the many places at the mall.nPlus Kay who is on reception is one of the nicest most helpful people I have met in a long time.nHer customer service was exceptional.nAlways cheerful and nothing was to much trouble!nWhat a star!
The rooms were good, quiet at night, comfortable and the bed was firm which we like. Clean and well looked after and all the usual facilities were there. The only thing was the front desk when he was there. He wasn't there if you get my meaning. A nice restaurant/ bar right next door and the car park was fine although it got really busy and there no spaces left, so be aware. Great location for the football stadium and the massive shopping centre. I would use it again.
