Livingston Inn

About

We are proud of our reputation for serving top quality freshly prepared food using only the finest ingredients and local produce in season.

Story

Built in 1760, Livingston Inn stands in its own grounds and is set within a Scottish conservation village in Livingston, West Lothian. One famous resident was Robert Burns who stayed here and penned the song “The Bonnie Lass of Livingston“ during his stay in the Inn.

In many ways the hotel buildings are a monument to bygone days, the stables have been converted to open plan bar and lounge hotel area and have centuries of stories to tell.

When you combine this tradition with the relaxed atmosphere and quality of service provided today, the Livingston Inn becomes an oasis in a sometimes too busy world.

We are proud of our reputation for serving top quality freshly prepared food using only the finest ingredients and local produce in season, presented by our award winning chefs. Booking is advisable at the weekend.

We have 12 en suite bedrooms, function suite & private dining area for up to 50 people. We can cater for small weddings, birthday parties and other party arrangements.

Food amazing hence the 4star.. disappointed that the waitress did not mirror this in the service provided. Not the most welcoming venue ☹️

Lovely place, really nicely decorated inside and gives it a cosy feel but with a modern twist. Great food and very reasonably priced. Excellent staff, I left my phone there and when I called to find it they kept it at the bar for me to collect as they had seen it on the table. Good for family's and for a few drinks on a night. Has nice surroundings in Livingston village

Hotel maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. Room had thin blinds on window and street light outside. Bedside light lead not long enough so switch had to hang over headboard - dangerous. Wardrobe door handle handing off. Bath panel not sealed. Shower screen loose where screwed to wall and not properly cleaned. Tap head not screwed on - kept falling into bath. Enamel on bath worn away.

Christmas group booking with orders placed in advance. Service was excellent, food was very good and well worth the price. I recommended here and my colleagues all plan to personally return
