Functional no frills lodging in a pretty central location, so if you want to stay cheap in the middle of Aberdeen, then this is the ticket. Rooms are a nice size and a decent temperature. Breakfast is OK. If you have stayed in a travel lodge before you know what to expect!
We had two family rooms for a Friday evening. One room was clean, the other definitely was not. We even had a jumper from the previous occupant still in the room! Breakfast was OK.nnI must however say that all of the staff we encountered, particularly the night shif staff were very friendly and helpful.
Booked a room 3 months ago for tonight 3rd May to then be told we did not have a room. Proceeded to tell us that they emailed us 2 hours beforehand, NOT A PHONE CALL, when we were getting ready to go to the hotel. Supervisor Monika was extremely rude, unhelpful, was smirking and found our upset funny. Probably won’t consider staying here again, despite its ideal location and this being our first issue as frequent Travelodge guests - with at least 5 bookings a year in various locations.
Very good centrally located hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. At the time of booking, the price was an absolute bargain for a central hotel.nDepending on the room, the view can be very nice; our room overlooked Union Terrace Gardens.
Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Had 2 rooms for my family. 1 room smelled like body odour and the other like cigarette smoke. 1 room han a major dip in the bed and the other had loads of issues with the bathroom. The toilet and sink tap made a horrible noise when used and the tub would fill up quickly when the shower was turned on. There was also hair everywhere. To top it off there was no hot water our second night there. The bed looked like it was made up by a toddler. The trains went by and shook the building, not great when you are trying to sleep. Costumer service was terrible as when I told the manager about the issues its as if she didnt care. No apology was given and nothing was done. Definitely would not recommend, spend the extra and stay somewhere else.
