Only stayed for 1 night but enjoyed the experience all the same. Room was very clean and tidy when we arrived, liked the air conditioning which I wish was noticed earlier as it was a rather warm day. We had breakfast in the restaurant there and it was a self service full cooked one we had. Food was lovely. Any staff we spoke to were very helpful too. I would use again.
We really enjoyed our visit here. The staff were very courteous and helpful and everything was very clean tidy and comfortable as you'd expect from this hotel chain. For a little budget city break in the UK, you can do a lot worse than a visit to Aberdeen by train and a stay in the Premier Inn which is very accessible on foot from the train station. I don't think I've ever slept as peacefully and my sons were both out for the count as soon as head touched pillow :
Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst dropping our son off at University. Don't let the drab exterior put you off. Once inside the atmosphere is cosy & welcoming. I stay away in Premier Inn hotels, working for a company that has an account with Premier Inn. The service received was at this hotel was by far the best I've experienced so far. Conan was fantastic at check-in & behind the bar, offering help & advice about the local area. Justina was lovely when serving us drinks shortly after arrival, taking the time to chat & help with questions we had about Aberdeen, before we headed out for the night. I will definitely be staying here again. Top marks!
Nice, clean room, windows can open so far we were room 205, traffic not too too bad, considering it was on a busy street. Room temperature just right, considering we are in November. Restful sleep, taps in bathroom could be improved- very slow flow, also, maybe an oversight, but there were no sanitary bags in the bathroom- I didn't need any,but I would have asked if I had. Pleasant helpful staff, good breakfast service, cooked breakfast could be hotter hubby remarked this, enjoyed a lovely bowl of porridge. Thanks for the vase of roses and the card, since it was our wedding anniversary! Much appreciated. Parking is dear- £21 we paid, however, i know, the hotel doesn't own the car park, so that cant be helped. We enjoyed a lovely stay, close to the shops. Thanks for everything! Rooms: Comfortable, clean, spacious, good temperature Nearby activities: Close to town centre Noteworthy details: Staff kindly put a vase of roses and a card in our room,as it was our wedding anniversary
Great location, walkable to the city centre, science museum and beach. Excellent value for clean comfortable good sized family room. Car parking is now £7 per day and really should be free for guests, albeit still better than other nearby car parks.Rooms: 5/5
It's a Premier Inn. If you like Premier Inn then you'll know what to expect! Generally a cut above basic at a good price with some nice finishing touches. Clean, comfy, well located for city centre. Nice breakfast area, decent staff, lifts to all floors and parking if you need it. Rooms: Decent sized triple by UK standards with en-suite bathroom. Large TV, tea & coffee making, extra pillows, decent towels, good shower. Nearby activities: Right in the city centre and walking distance to all main attractions and major central offices, including museums, art galleries, performance venues, etc. Walkability: Very walkable. Directly opposite Lemon Tree and Arts Centre. I'm a reasonably quick walker so add 5 mins if you're strolling or have luggage. I'd estimate: 5 mins to Marischal College and Provost Skene's House. 10mins to shopping centres and Maritime Museum. 15mins to Art Gallery, His Majesty's Theatre, Music Hall, Tivoli Theatre, train and bus stations, ferry terminal and harbour. 20 mins to Beach Ballroom. 25 mins to University of Aberdeen campus. There's a Morrisons 5 mins away if you need supplies/fuel.
Hotel was very busy as we stayed halloween weekend. Parking was absolutely shocking! £7 for one night and it is far too small for the amount of rooms they have! My car was also vandalised in the car park but nothing the hotel could've done about that. There was an update of their system so we were given no key cards for our room doors, and as the stairway/lift was also key card activated it was very difficult to navigate around the hotel. The staff tried their best to try to make this as little of an inconvenience as possible but as we were out at night, the hotel locks the doors at 11pm and you have to use your key to get in. The reception staff at night were not very friendly or helpful. The gentleman behind the counter still questioned whether we had a room at the hotel after showing our booking confirmation. Not the best thing at 3am. There was also an old jumper found in our room stuffed behind the seat and there were holes in our duvet cover. We only stayed for one night and were out most of the evening but it wasn't up to standard as it normally is. Great location.
This is a 3 star hotel, however, it offers fantastic value for money, incredible comfort, and confidently located in the town centre. The 3 stars I gave for the room, isn't an indictment of the room, simply a reflection that it is in fact a 3 star hotel. I arrived, without a booking. I booked, using my phone, as I stood in the lobby. Cost me £50. Can't ask for more.
Building needs a lot of work on outside. It looks like something from the 60's Windows are a disgrace . Had to wait about 15 minutes to check in because they were doing a hand over and someone had to wait about 20 minutes at the bar for a drink because of the same reason. Why would you have no staff available for that length of time to deal with people coming and going ? Hygiene within staff needs looked at . The girl sneezed into her hands. Then i watched her getting cutlery from the drawer without washing her hands and laying a table totally unacceptable. It was reported and hopefully dealt with. Food ok , staff nice, rooms as expected.
OK hotel. Comfortable bed, clean room, great central location, friendly staff. Bar not so good, poor service and barman was only interested in closing as soon as possible. Car park expensive and horrible - also open as a public car park so no spaces.Rooms: 5/5
