The location is central especially for the buses and train station, honestly you would be hard pressed for a better location.nnSome of the area around the hotel is a little seedy but it is near the docks so sort of to be expected and I would not expect any trouble from anyone, also the main area around the hotel is perfectly fine and it's within a main nice shopping centre.nnThe staff themselves are friendly and make conversation which is nice, I also visited at Easter and there was a small hand written card with some cheap chocolate eggs wrapped on the bed, a very nice touch.nnThe hotel however falls down when it comes to noise, I could clearly hear the couple in the room next to mine talking until after 1am and you can hear everything. A huge let down but on the positive the air conditioning works and the bed is super comfy.nnWould I stay there again, honestly probably not solely due to the noise issue
The lobby area is very modern, clean and pleasant with friendly, helpful staff. Seamless check in experience.nnThe rooms on the other hand fall short of expectations as they've clearly not seen any extensive renovation since opening as Jury's Inn.nnThe room was clean and comfortable, the mattress and pillows are quite firm but i found them quite nice. The two chairs in the room seem relatively new and are fine enough. Good, effective air con with wall amounted controls. The TV works fine the usual menu lockouts aside but is outdated. The remote was absolutely disgusting and had clearly never been cleaned since being put in the room. There are no sockets next to the bed, no USB outlets anywhere in the room either. Lots of scuff marks on walls and skirting boards. Only one ceiling light for the whole room, which means it is quite dark. The bedside reading lamps are very old LED units that put out a very weak, green tinged light.nnThe bathroom is reasonable with a bath and shower, quite clean though the extractor fan didn't work and there seemed to be pen ink stains on the shower curtain that was otherwise clean.nnThe location is great, being a part of Union Square so access to shops, taxis, buses, etc is easy but as it stands that's really the only thing that sets it apart from other hotels in the area which have more modern rooms for a similar price or cheaper. There's not much that staff could have done as the only real way to solve the problems is renovation of the rooms, which I would have thought would have been done as part of the rebrand to Leonardo.nnOverall a pleasant enough experience but could have been better.
The location is amazing, right in the centre of town. Had an initial issue with room on arrival, which was dealt with quickly and efficiently by Angus. Angus deserves a special mention and gets 5 stars from us. The rest of the team we interacted with were pleasant, efficient and helpful. Well done the team!
Ideally located in the centre of Aberdeen with college street car park close and £7 for 24hrs on the upper floors. Walk from car park is under cover via train station and shopping centre.nReception area ok. My check in I was waiting 10 mins plus not terrible but slow. The room.....well if mine is the standard, then they need to do better. It needs investment in the rooms that were old and tired, looking and just bland. Stained carpets and bed furniture, old marks on side tables to the bed. Wood peeling from mirror, rusty bathroom mirror. The bed was clean and matress looked new and clean. In the morning lots of condensation on window frame. TV was very small for room, which was a good size and tea and coffee had lot's of choice as well as ironing board and iron in the room. Just a old worn out, dated room. New furniture and different paint and some pictures would change it dramatically as the location is great. Would I stay here again....not unless it has had a referb.
Very good hotel. Central location next to bus terminal and train. Very comfortable bed must be super king. Delightful staff. Very accommodating. We will be back.
