So.... where do I start, we visited the store with high hopes, we have heard it is the best shopping experience ever, with its vast array of fragrances, random clothing and Michelin star food!! Wow 😳 how surprised were we.... the entrance is something from a horror movie, you instantly get attacked by a wall of suitcases, if you manage to get past those then the forest of Calvin dad pants will get you!! It doesn't stop there! An escalator takes you to the second floor of the shop of horrors! Fragrances!!!! And mums Calvin pants! Fart in this place and it'll be discreetly hidden by the smell of cheap perfume... wait, there is more! Another escalator to the third floor!!! The Michelin star cafe! Intriguing I know. So we chose a breakfast and tomato soup, breakfast was erm different and the soup... omg 😲! It tasted like the bath water of big foots d**k!! Horrified as we were, we approached the staff, no money back options were discussed, they were brushed to one side, we were offered another flavoured soup! Obviously from big foots range, we kindly said no, then from out of no where, Gordon Ramsey the second (the chef) appeared from the kitchen telling us the powered soup wasn't the best and it's all the managers give him! I think the Michelin star status needs to re-think this cafe! To that end we speared the rhino (yes the shop sells spears and rhinos) left big foots bath water and Swifty made our way to the exit, avoiding the forest of calvins pants, the walk of suitcases and nans perfumes! Luckily we are here to tell the tail, although I'm not too sure everyone got out alive... if you have a stomach of steel, face like thunder or you need some Calvin dad pants! Visit this place, if not avoid at all costs... thankyou (I also do children's books, not sold at this store though) I had to give it one star as it requires it, if I could have gave it zero I would have.

I tried to purchase some curtains and was assisted by one of the shop workers who then served me as I purchased them. After leaving the store I was apprehended by security, spoken to in a very aggressive manner whilst being accused of shoplifting the curtains. Having shown the receipt they promptly left with no apology or explanation. I returned to the shop and was treated the same by the manager. I wrote to the company and received no reply. Do not shop at TJ Hughes: it is an extremely unprofessional and shoddy outfit with no customer service.
