We love IKEA. It's a great place for all things home not house. The food is delightful and the scented candles are almost edible. There is so much to choose from. It's a fantastic day out.
The cafe is big and very clean. There was a bit of queue because the was only one person serving. But it went quite quickly once they opened a till. I bought a vegan hot dog meal which wasn't actually shown to be an option on the displays with the items and the pricing. The meal consisted of the hot dog fries and refillable drink. All of them tasted really good. A word of warning some of the drinks have 50% less sugar in them than their UK counterparts and are bit of an acquired taste. Definitely great value for money. I would buy it again the next time I go to the store.
If visiting please put aside a few hours as it's massive. Full of a great selection of items for the household and garden. Love the cafe too, try their meatballs and mashed potatoes. Yum. Staff are great too and you can buy things and have them delivered or collect them downstairs. Only downfall is the location tbh. Love their bedroom range.
Absolutely love IKEA! So many options and ideas! Restaurant has good food and drink options note: the meatballs are not gluten free, but the veggie ones are!. Great value for money!
This ikea can be very busy on weekends but I popped in in the evening to get some batteries and it was easy. Invariably end up looking at some other stuff. But the cut through's enable you to dodge between sections missing out large chunks of the store. It's a pretty standard ikea except a little smaller with 3 levels of car parking then 3 levels of showrooms and shopping.
Great place, great selection. Only giving 4 stars because you need to visit 3 floors to see everything. Food in the restaurant great make sure you try their gravy, even with just chips 10/10
You can always find some nice stuff in Ikea. The only thing which spoiled the experience is that on Sunday the queue to the car park was probably a mile long, so we had to park across the road. Cafe serves nice fresh food. Overall- count it as a good day out with the family
As good as any other Ikea. Just one issue, it’s not easy to navigate too. So we quite often go to either MK or Birmingham instead. There really needs to be an Ikea in Northampton
As IKEA stores go, I'm a bit fond of Coventry. It pokes up through the surrounding buildings in the kind of way that makes you think "how did they fit an IKEA in there?!". The answer is they stacked it. The standard maze of showroom torture is on level 6 with the restaurant. Shortcuts are signposted, in 12 point text, using wingdings font, so expect a good walk. Level 5 is the stuff. Or the market hall as they like to call it. This is where you go to get the tealights that were the main purpose of the trip but come out with a cheese grater, a new lamp and a large canvas of the New York skyline at night. And no tealights. Level 4 exists only in Swedish folklore. I think there are trolls there. Level 3 is the flat pack labyrinth. The place where couples swear at each other for not writing down the location of that chest of drawers, then take out their frustration on tired kids who just want to ride on the trolley "Because it says you can't!! Now get off!" Checkouts are also on this level. But of course, so is everyone else. There are plenty of checkouts, but 14 X plenty of people wanting to use them. There is also another food counter after the checkouts so you'll find yourself in a queue for a 50p hotdog which believe me, is not underpriced, and a refill cup for carbonated fruit water. They don't even try to pretend it's anything else. The ice cream machine probably isn't working, or that's what you'll tell the kids. The parking is on levels 0, 1 and 2, and there's quite a lot of it. There are also red/green lights over the spaces to help you find empty ones, which is great until you realise that the green one you were congratulating yourself for spotting in the distance is actually a trolley park. Given the layout, the multitude of oversized lifts are an absolute necessity. It would be nice if they moved occasionally. But despite all that, it's a great IKEA, and we go there regularly!
This store is in a city centre location, which is very handy if you don't drive and want to dash in and visit their marketplace. The customer service varies from helpful to utterly unhelpful. The worse service I received was on my last visit, when I had trouble logging into my IKEA Family account at the terminal. The member of staff that I spoke to simply looked me up and down in a judgemental manner, rather than making eye contact. When I told her the error message on the screen said to ask a member of staff, she was unhelpful and said she couldn't help. I have downgraded my review of this store from 5 stars to 2 stars due to this incident. Poorly trained staff made this an unpleasant place to visit.
