I'm currently writing this review while struggling to fall asleep in the cabin my mum and sister are staying in with me. There's this incredibly bright green light Infront of the door that's lit up the whole room and our air con doesn't even work. The staff, while sympathetic and helpful, couldn't help resolve this issue and so we've got to try and sleep in these conditions with zero ventilation from the lack of windows. What I can say though is that we were really pleased with the generous supply of tea and hot chocolate in our room and plentiful towels. The beds are pretty comfy and I think I would've fallen asleep by now if it wasn't for the issues stated above. The location is fantastic and I couldn't complain about the park whatsoever.
me and my boyfriend stopped 23/04-24/04. very cosy. room was small but perfectly fine for just me and him. the bed was the comfiest bed i’ve ever been on. you get given bottled water and tea hot choc and coffee which is nice. the bathroom is a little bit of a squeeze but it does its job. the room has air con and heating so you can control the temperature efficiently and overall it was a really good stay. the staff were lovely and gave me an extra parking ticket so i could exit at night as we went into Staines for dinner. 10/10 experience would come again
First time staying here, the room was clean. However, the seal between the bathroom and room wasn’t great so the water was seeping through when having a shower. I did report this to reception so hopefully it will get sorted. The breakfast in the morning was really good and the overall location of the hotel is amazing when using Park facilities.
Over priced rooms for what is at best a pod sized room. The cost of the room for 2 nights was around £300 excluding the cost of the ticket. I would say £250 over priced. I travelled with my son. And there was barely enough room for both of us. Rooms full of condensation so after getting wet during the day our clothes and shoes were soaking the following day. Would not recommend a stay . Towels are barely usable. If you have respiratory problems you will suffer. I have asthma and had to constantly use my inhaler whilst I was here. If you wish to visit Thorpe Park I would stay off site and travel in.
The timing on the website for the quiz states 'two and a half hours after closing'. The park closes at 1800 therfore the quiz should start at 2030. However, when we went, the quiz was already complete and started at 1900 with a smaller quiz and 1930 for the main quiz. This is one hour to one and a half hours after closing. This was disappointing. The main issue, however, was the cabin itself. Our cabin was infested with ants, and we killed at least 10 during our one night stay, with many still remaining in the morning. We did not ask to change rooms as we believed this would be the same in all cabins. The location is good just outside of the main entrance without having to go through security and ticketing again on your second day. Breakfast buffet is good, Shelly who was working in the restaurant when we arrived was very friendly and welcoming. The bed is comfy and the TV is located in a good position in the cabin. Rooms: Our cabin was infested with ants and we had no warm water on the morning. Nearby activities: As mentioned in the above box. The quiz is wrongly advertised on the website and meant we missed it.
Barely habitable "pod" like rooms. Running with condensation. Small space. They might be ok in warmer weather, but absolutely unacceptable standard of accommodation. Threadbare towels. The worst rooms I can recall staying in and we travel regularly all over the world. Breakfast is average at best with perfunctory service. Yes, you miss the queues but that is the only redeeming feature. I would be disappointed at £30 per night, never mind £130. A disgrace.
Rooms have been slightly refurbished last year, they're not anything super special but you have the facilities you need for an overnight stay and lovely staff at reception. My only complaint usually is that there's not an awful lot to do late into the night if you're not an early sleeper. Standard freeview television channels, a small arcade inside the dome and the bar doesn't stay open too late. Nice outdoor seating area by the cabins.
3.8 google reviews rating 750 it’s look very bad . Very poor customer service pass hotel service without customer service. They said they don’t have a room service. They said they don’t have a mop . I asked 3 reception can I have a mop to mop myself because of the water coming they said they don’t have a mop unbelievable . water coming from bathroom to the bed. Space is making it disgusting. Poor design. if I know I’ll make a tent Outside, it’s much better . Very terrible experience same as a breakfast hotel breakfast main restaurant so rubbish scramble like like rubber . Please no food hygiene or health and safety this place at all . I don’t understand how they get five star rate in Food hygiene must be their paid for Council Rooms: Cabin as a cabin, but Anrd, if you had a shower and a toilet, the water will come to the bedroom Food & drinks: Food day, making from microwave, only scrambled eggs make microwave burger they made microwave yesterday last night. I had it like rubber
Cabins are tiny, one double bed, & bunk beds. If you are only there to sleep that's fine. Only a tiny porthole window in the door, no window to open for fresh air, & the doors are fire doors so won't stay open, so if you get clostaphobia I wouldn't think this was for you... There is air conditioning which we had on all night because it was warm in there. The double bed was very comfortable, we did sleep well because of the walking we'd done. The bathroom is a toilet one end, shower the other and a tiny washbasin in the middle, the door is frosted, but doesn't feel private as everyone can hear you in there. Personally I wouldn't stay there again, there wasnt enough to do in the evening at the resort, there was a quiz inside the vibe restaurant, and there was a coffee area at the rear of the cabins with seating, but it wasn't open, so we drove into Windsor. Rooms: Tiny. Nearby activities: Arcade for kids. Restaurant, with a quiz after food stops. Walkability: Close to the park
Very good service. Friendly staff. Mia was lovely checking out, amazing desk staff. Would 100% stay again!Rooms: 5/5
