As many have commented already this is a nicely stocked store with a good array of products, albeit at the higher price end. My review is limited to the use of plastic packaging: for some items, like the fresh pasta, it’s simply excessive. What’s the point in offering a refill service for washing up liquid in one part of the store which is good! if you’re going to undo it with excessive plastic packaging elsewhere? Please change this Kavanagh’s.
I like your selection, but I really think you should improve the post office. Staffing it better or more flexibly around the lunch rush would probably make both the workers and customers less snippy. In addition, there's one woman who is so consistently unpleasant or rude. It's exhausting and confusing - if she doesn't like people, why is she in a customer facing job?
This is a local store for me so I will happily go local. Unfortunately, every time I shop in here, some of my fresh goods are not in good condition or have exspired, the expensive bread I purchased yesterday had green mould on it. A couple of weeks ago the pack of fresh tomatoes I purchased were squashy and turning off underneath. If I return into this shop I feel like I really have to closely examine the fresh produce and check dates.
Great renovation. comfortable trolleys, can be operated with one hand, wow. wide aisles. All items are the same as before. juices and ready meals inside. post office in the farthest corner of the store. I came in the evening, but there was a lot of ready-made food in cash. Hurrah.
Many times I have bought items from here that are mouldy. The bread is often blue. I just stopped in to buy some beetroot hummus and when I got home that was also mouldy even though it still has 3 days to go before its sell-by-date ends. If you shop here I’d check over items before buying. Crazy
Staff are clueless and completely rude. I’m a local and have been coming here regularly for years and would be happy to keep supporting the owner and this business, despite the prices being excessive.. but I won’t be shopping here again unless I have absolutely no other choice and I used to shop here all the time. I suggest get some staff with better people skills if you value your repeat clients and want to match your reputation to your prices because at the moment it is sub -standard. Apart from a couple of women who have been there for many years who are absolutely lovely and helpful the positive reviews on staff here would most likely have engaged with them the staff are extremely rude, unhelpful and have really bad vibes.There is no assistance unless you ask for it at the machines, no bags available, if you do get assistance you're met with hostility, resentment, a blank stare and definitely no smile and it is an inconvenience to them to even ask as there is really not much interaction. Just really unpleasant and unfriendly. I have had to go to other shops because of this as really dislike the unwelcoming, rude attitude here, which is a shame. Definitely not the experience wanted whilst paying the extremely high prices. Avoid.

Lovely alternative to the usual fare in the other high street chains. The bread is lovely and they've got a very good gluten free selection.
Lovely layout and range.....but. Sign by fresh pastries advises to ask staff if there is an allergy concern. Upon asking the staff had no idea and couldn't access the information required. Completely unacceptable and such a shame given the high standards evident throughout the shop. Easy to put right.
